His treatment of Fanlv is the same, but Fanlv doesn't see it that way, because she got rejectedcandcher bratty personality couldn't accept it. He is also a very hardworking guy who doesn't just sit idly by.

If Dr. Shan had not been killed in the story I could see it only being him as her love but thanks to Dr's mama they both ended up apart, destiny or interface it changed the whole story from the two who where ment to be to net in this life time.
