Yeah, Colin Stetson is a beast. He wrote and performed the soundtrack to the move Hereditary and rewrote an entire three movement symphony. It does! Theres an arpegio in the background looping constantly, switching intensity, the wuuuuh~ is the melody, the arpegio the armonization. With this kind of armonization the composer creates something like a musical staircase. Since the arpegio keeps repeating till the end, makes you feel trapped in a loop. Repetitive musical motiffs like this were usually used by tribes on trance indusing ceremonies :)

@@97Multiphantom I actually speculate it was part of the spiral's pull. Things steadily got crazier and more violent and yet only the bf wanted to move. Despite Kirei's family witnessing her hair being possessed and trying to kill her and her own experiences with it, no one proposed moving. I think her bf was inexplicably the only person in the entire village that had the sense that it needed to be evacuated, probably because he was consistently going out of town every day and saw how it was affecting people first. I think the spiral, which wanted to be seen, had already planted a seed in everyone there, to not leave no matter what (or at least until it was too late to do so).

@@agemini2077 Do you just call everyone that? How many boomers you know are watching trailers for horror anime on adult swim with profile pictures of their poorly drawn OC they made when they were like 12/13.

@@youcantbeatk7006 Yeah. I just think boomer's a funny word. You're probably defintely not a boomer because you're in this comment section but it's funny to say "Shut up boomer"

Honestly wouldn’t have faulted these guys for taking 5 years to make this. From what I saw in the newest trailer, the detail is IMMACULATE.

I'm really glad they are choosing to animate this in black and white, and staying true to the manga. I think that was the best decision on their part. When horror manga/art is done in solely black and white, it forces your eyes to try to decipher the grotesque monstrosities before you. When you add color into the mixture, it takes away from that fear factor because it's easier for the viewer to make out exactly what they are looking at.

Yeah, that was in my opinion the issue with the Junji Ito collection anime which came our last year.

Oh god we're going to see the snail boys doing THAT animated now, wasn't the most disturbing part of the manga but was definitely the nastiest.

Nastiest chapter for me was the one with the new born babies trying to get back inside the womb. Can't wait to see how they animate that one
