Another underrated feature of this anime is that it has simple dialogue with Japanese subtitles, meaning it's great if you're trying to learn Japanese, especially if you already know hiragana and basic kanji.

そうですか? School romcoms aren't really my genre but with a recommendation like this I'll have to give it a try at least for learning purposes. Thank you.

As someone who has been obsessed for quite some time with the idea of livable community building and the effects of globalism and post-modernism this short review hit home. We in the US are living in cities and towns that are made specifically to cater to vehicular transport and not walkable close knit communities of the past. Rail used to be the way we traveled long distances and with its demise the car took over the world and ushered in suburbs. This killed the local community in many ways not least of which is most people don't even truly know their neighbors anymore. We need to find ways as followers of Christ to strengthen community and build places where close friends can safely grow in faith and love with one another. This may mean rejecting much of post modern thought about metanarratives and going back to life wherein we lived simpler more fullfilling lives without so much social media interaction online. It also means we need to push our political leadership in the direction of more livable, nature filled cities and towns and away from grotesque modern concrete wastelands catering to the car.

I found out recently that boomers have started to gain a hatred for the idea of "walkable cities" because they associate it with the WEF. It is a shame, but hopefully, when Gen Z enters positions of power, things will change for the better.

Interesting point, and I see some merit in it, but as someone who lives in a rural community I don't totally agree that the car killed local communities. I think the loss of religion and common values in society did that infitiely more than our mode of transport did. Even just when I was young (in the 90s) we had enough common values where we felt we could chat up someone from our neighborhood and find we could have mutual respect and not worry about radical social contageons around kids, that's not the case anymore. :< I do definitely agree on shunning modernist and post-modernist design from our towns though. That junk is uuuugly and feels soul crushing on an intrinsic level.

It's probably one of the few anime that I would recommend to people, as it is nothing but sweet wholesome fluff. Good job covering it.

Very wholesome anime! I can't wait for the new manga by the creator of Takagi-san that was just announced. So far, I haven't been let down yet by any of their works.

The only thing I’ve seen of this is that panel of a spin off manga where they get married and have a kid, so maybe I’ll give it a shot. I hear it’s 3 seasons are on 3 different streaming services though, so might be time to sail the high seas

Yeah, it is the biggest barrier to entry for an anime if it is split between Crunchyroll, Netflix, and HiDive xD
