So great to see Jenni. Her nunnery episode is one of my favorites. She made a fabulous nun. I remember Katie going to visit her but the head nun would only let them talk for about a minute. Then when the experiment was over she wanted crisps!

I have always considered series 7 through 9 to be Time Team's best, not only because of the great variety of sites and finds, and the great team chemistry, but also because of my (age-appropriate) crush on Jenni.

Great to hear Jenni's take on things. I always felt an affinity with her, not just because she was doing what I'd have loved to do (although have had chance to dig with local Herefordshire Archaeology) but also because I was a Butterworth before marriage :)

I remember hearing that Mick had left us with a sense of genuine sorrow, and emptiness in the pit of my stomach. Mick Aston was a wonderful human being, I think. GBNF by so many of us that respected his hard won knowledge and directness. Mick Aston is a legend.

Might've been the color..that poor man has the whitest legs I think I've ever seen. They are nicely shaped but then so were Mick's, may God rest his soul, and Mick's weren't white. According to his book, he sunbathed in the nude in his back garden but the tan stopped at his socks! Must've left his socks and shoes on while running around starkers!.

Well, Melli Thompson, if you go for old hippies with great personalities, they're bound to have something strange going on and in Phil's case, it looks like his legs. Doesn't seem to have much tolerance for heat either. It's Christmas week and everyones whining about being cold. I'm barefoot right now and have most of the heating vents shut off, and I'm fine. They can wear layers if they're cold.
