this game really looks simple at the surface. get a monster, train him, let it fight, rest and repeat. but the hidden mechanics here are something a 10 yr old kid can't comprehend. I was 10 yrs old when I first played this in original ps1.

hi @teawch why you dont mix your training like your previous videos? i mean, before you always have hard/light/hard/light train did the lifespan index get better with hard/hard/light/light train like in this video?

Yes, you get less stress carried over at the beginning of each month with the Hard/Hard/Light/Light routine

@@teawch But doesn't that make you have more Fatigue at the begining of the month? And I don't really think it's more compatible if you also pair it with a Tourney especially if it happen to be at Week 1

Yes, it makes your monster start with 7 Fatigue at the beginning of the month, but it quickly goes away with the 2 weeks of Nuts Oil. And even if there is a battle on 1wk, the Fatigue accumulated does not make the Lifespan Index go over 70, so there's no extra lifespan lost

lovely guide, may I ask though. I noticed that in this guide, on the adolescent and adult stage, you go wk1 & wk2 nuts oil with hard drills then wk3 & wk4 mint leaf with light drills. Is there any advantage in this strategy or will it work just fine with your zuum guide where it zig zags between items and drills?

Both strategies work (this one and the Zuum). I switched strategies in this guide to avoid being repetitive and to show that there's more than 1 way to train monsters.

When your monster Cheats, don't scold it When your monster goes Great, don't praise it If that's not enough, give it a lot of Sweet Jelly, it's nature will start to go Bad

It's not normal. You should be able to live past 6 years easily. Did you do a lot of Errantries or Battles?

@@teawch Errantries I did as follow in the video, only 2 times to get both skills. For battles, yes. I did quite a few to stock up the cash on nut oils and mint leaves.

2 years 6 months. I started raising Hopper in year 1000 on 1wk Apr and didn't change monsters at all, so you can calculate the age from the date

I didn't raise this Hopper till it died (I stopped after beating the game). Its final stats (at 4 yr. 1 mo.) were: Lif. 279 Pow. 144 Int. 886 Ski. 979 Spd. 711 Def. 47 It should be able to live at least 2 more years after this. Frog Hopper (Hopper/???) cannot learn Flame. The only Hoppers that can learn Flame are Fairy Hopper (Hopper/Pixie) and Draco Hopper (Hopper/Dragon)

Yeah monol, visually uninteresting, short lifespan, bad status gain except def which punished by swim bug, lot of tech chain, slow guts regen, somehow expensive moveset, and visually uninteresting. Monol created for hardcore mode only.

No, other than to learn certain techniques, it's also easier to train Int with the Pixie sub-type
