So I had changed my fluid, afterwards it’s doin as you displayed it will not split the log.Any thoughts or ideas that I can try to do to fix?

Good day, very informative videos. I replaced my log splitter valve and the detent wont pop back to neutral no matter how I adjust the detent. What do you think it could be?

I’m having problem with my splitter, it has a breather cap where you fill it up. When you start it up and move handle in or out it starts spewing out fluid either way you go. It has no splitting power at all, just had cylinder repaired. Any ideas guys I can’t afford a new one.

Where is a good place to install the pressure gauge when adjusting the relief?

As seen in the video, the ideal place to install a gauge for the purpose of reading your valve's relief pressure is between the pump and the valve.

Won't there be possibility of the valve moving while tightening the Valve Cap?

No Kingsley, there is enough friction holding the threaded adjustment bolt that it does not spin merely by installing the hex cap. You need an allen wrench to turn it.

The pump is not meant to be adjusted in the field, they are factory set.
