Tech pack installed on my 2020 1290 Super duke r

Back in the 90´s we just pushed one button and drove away, anti-wheelie and ABS was always off! And the bike was always in full power mode, too!

@@Robbiemoto it is giving that on the owners manual but… is this for a lovely smooth dry road and not a bumpy,wet Irish road 😂 I always ran 32f 30-32r on my bikes even 1000rr and it was fine

@@Robbiemoto by the way i got the KTM powerparts panniers and they’re great, not overly large but suit the bike perfectly and you can still swing your leg over the bike to get on instead of doing the silly hop dance

How much did it cost to get it unlocked? I just want to turn the anti-wheelie off because I like to learn the limits myself instead of having the anti-wheelie babysitting in the background.

I had the Track pack and MSR unlocked instead of the full Tech pack as I already had the quick shifter unlocked I’ve basically got it all unlocked apart from the flashing adaptive brake light. They charged me £400. That’s the main thing I don’t like about KTM with charging for the stuff that’s standard on similar bikes. You can’t just have the anti wheelie turned off on its own. You’d have to get the track pack which includes the anti wheelie and a few other things. wonderful bike great review like what you've done to it hard to figure what bike to get next. just a note i understand you blur your plate for privacy reasons but if your going to do it try and make sure you blur it in every frame if i was a cop i would have had your plate .

Thanks. And yeah I know the blurring isn’t perfect. Sometimes I think not to bother but other times I do. The editing software I use has been updated and I’m learning to use the features better. Editing isn’t really an enjoyable experience for me. 😄

Hi. I believe but not 100% sure it’s BF11. That’s just the horse shoe shape plate that holds the fitting mount in place.

I'm getting a 2020 ktm 1290 super duke r in a few weeks, I'm a little confuse about the tech pack. The one I'm getting does not have heated grips or quick shifter, if i bring it to the dealer all they need to do is install a program for my quick shifter/auto blipper to be enabled? Or would I need to install parts and then get them to enable it? Any clarifications would be appreciated.

Hi. Heated grips are not part of the tech pack. They are a separate option all together. All the dealer needs to do to enable the tech pack is to download an unlock code software direct from KTM to enable it. All parts are already fitted to the bike as standard. You don’t need to install anything yourself.

When using the clutch yes but if clutch less using the quickshifter then no.

You have to go to a KTM dealer to get it unlocked. It’s already installed on your bike. It needs an unlock code from KTM.

i got this and fantastic but you cant remove rear seat while installed - dealbreaker to me. I asked them to do one that allows removal of rear seat.

Around 150-160 miles to a tank. Ridden hard 130. Average 50mpg.
