Montage can do everything but the YC can do a few things really really well

Funny! To my ears it sounds like the sampled piano was in bad shape and out of tune...

Yes! Love my YC. Would love a distance/spread setting for the Leslie. Maybe even an additional model to choose from. More DX/TX E. Pianos please. Otherwise, awesome Red killer.

I heard it has an FM Engine similiar to montage or maybe the same one.

Just got the YC88 & love it! A suggestion I have is adding an option for more layers & a movable splits point. Thanks

Nice demo just got my YC61 didn’t think a distorted electric guitar was possible…you proved that wrong. With the 1.2 update this thing became much much more…especially the organ the Leslie effect is now much closer to the real thing I’m an old B3 player!…so the only thing that is a head scratcher is why doesn’t the organ fire at the top of the keystroke?…ie high trigger point. I’m praying that will be a new update. BTW nice playing!

I really like my YC61 overall except for the stereo field from the Leslie Sim.I Could not come close to a warm and smooth wide field Leslie rotary effect. I miss some parameters to control distance and angles for microfon settings like in some VST's. Hopefully Yamaha will put it in a future firmware update. In the mean time for some songs I use the "B3x App on an iPad" additionally to come closer to the real thing controlled by the YC61 via USB witch works good.

Great video thank you. I love my YC61 but have a request that Yamaha improve the Rotary effect. Specifically, include a parameter to increase the throb (phasing effect), particularly of the the rotor (bass). I have the level on the rotor all the way up to 127 and it's still difficult to hear. There's other quicks with the rotary that are more difficult to explain but if there's a way to increase the throb effect, it would help a ton. Thank you.

Have you checked out the 1.2 firmware update? The rotary in that update sounds much better.

Love my YC61, but please increase the doppler effect of the rotary sim. Also, I miss the classic YC45 sounds that I'm expecting in a YC organ!

LOVE the new sounds in the 1.10.0 Firmware! The C7 and the 73RD Studio are addicting to play and are unbelievably responsive with the YC88 keybed...a true joy to play....but PLEASE spend a little time on the Leslie Rotary Simulator, specifically Rotary A. This keyboard Series just kills the Nord in almost every other category. Even something as simple as adding a width control to the Leslie Modulation effect and the addition of being able to save the Master EQ settings with each Live Set would probably put Nord out of business.

I have been watching videos ,looking for the board that does what I want ,I had high hopes for the cp 73 but while it has awesome sounds, it just lacks a lot of what I need on stage which is sounds, specifically bass and synthetic bass sounds . After looking for 2 years, watching literally video after video, I stumbled across this video. The demo in this video is they way a demo should be done. After watching this video, this is the board ,I've been looking for.

When a patch is altered with reverb or other effect, can the altered patch be saved for quick recall? Same goes for spilts and layers. Are all of those setups saveable too?

Hi there Thanks for the videos. great video. Would you know how I can play a YC88 Organ voice from an external keyboard while playing a piano voice on the YC88? With Thanks Dave in BC

can the piano sound be static while swelling in the strings with an expression pedal "live"?

yes it can...important for me, too.

Another issue, perhaps a lack of knowledge but here goes. When using the Organ components, the Sustain peddle can be used to control the Leslie rotor. That is great. However, I switch voices to a piano (for example), the sustain peddle will work for the piano, BUT when I switch back the Organ, the unit doesn't remember the sustain peddle was used for switching the rotor. Too bad. Solution would seem to be setting up Live Sets. But, on the fly, this seems to be a limitation.
@neilholtby18253 жыл бұрын
Digging a little deeper, it seems the solution is to buy an additional foot peddle and assign one of the foot controllers to manage the rotor speed. Change Control #85 for Foot Controllers...Rotary Slow/Fast.

What would be helpful & would make the general Reverb section more powerful: now there is one type of Reverb (big hall) on the section and it would be nice to have a smaller room reverb on it (called r1 (room) in the effect sections). Even if I put the poti near 0, for me it is a too big room. I do not want to loose a effect slot for reverb, when i'm using the room-reverb on a effect section (r1). Could you help me with this and /or can update the firmware? I would appreciate it! best!

I have an issue that I need some help with regarding Transposition. Unlike other Yamaha keyboards, the YC73 doesn't "retain" a transposition when switching between voices! Example, Select voice, transpose +1, Set. Change voice.... transposition lost. Seems the only way to save a transposition setting is to use up Live Sets. While this would be fine in the studio, it's unacceptable if you're playing a gig when you would like to make voice changes on the fly. Sure wish this could be solved with a software update.

Hi I just want to say that the keyboard it self looks fantastic but the design is clearly Nord rip off which I don't have actually problem with because it's a great design. (but the presenter getting excited over amp section etc...). I use to have Nord and Yamaha MODX 88 and my complain is about the Yamaha piano sound which is in my opinion really not good compared to the Nord. But Like I said it looks fantastic and I am considering buying it.

This is a nice-sounding board and I own several Yamaha boards, but I’m curious why they named it “YC” when it still doesn’t replicate the unique sounds that the original combo organs had? In particular the 45-D and the 30. I have a YC45-D (The Beast) and I’ve yet to hear any synth, module, VST or hardware synth get the sounds it does. There are two that come to mind; an organ that has a pulse wave underneath and another that has a what I can best describe as a “crystal marimba” sound. Here’s a link to the former: kzbin.info/www/bejne/nZCXk3Rnfax-ha8 And here’s a sample of the latter: kzbin.info/www/bejne/qHO9g2efbcd1a9U If this new “YC” board can get those, I’ll buy one in a heartbeat.
