This is quite a lengthy process to disable feedin. It is quite a mess digging through menus and editing multiples values. You disable it once in the sunny portal and then in sunny explorer.

Which model Sunny Boy do you refer to? A TL-20/21 series or a new AV-40/41 series? For the SMH2.0, the main different is obviously the physical installation, where the SHM2.0 has both meter and controller integrated into the one device. Otherwise, the setting is similar, in that it is configured via Sunny Portal

For SMA inverters with built-in WLAN capability, it is possible to configure zero export using just an SMA Energy Meter connencted to the inverter via Ethernet (either directly or via the local area network). This is able to operate independent of the Internet. If you need to do zero export for more than 1 inverter, then SMA would recommend you use a Cluster Controller which is capable of closed loop export control without Internet.
