What type of sensors for object detection can be used for glass, is it capacitive photoelectric diffuse sensor?

Any of the capacitive sensors should work. They are not photoelectric as they do not utilize light for the detection. Depending on the glass certain types of photoelectric sensors may work, however they function much better with refelective mediums, rather than transparent ones.

Hi Cynthia, Yes they could be used to select any solid object, but, you need to be aware of the sun light. Since these are optical sensors direct sunlight can interfere with their operation. Another option to consider is ultrasonic - they aren't susceptible to sun light (Modern cars use those to detect when other cars are too close, for example).
