Fantastic simple explanation

Hi Gail, Thank you for the awesome videos ! Can you please share your insight on the following two scenarios: 1) Breville Oracle BES980XL, Retail $2000. 2) Breville Dual-Boiler BES920XL + Breville BCG820BSSXL (Pro Grinder) ($1500) I understand that #1 is a compact setup, and#2 will take up more space. Now, assuming you prefer your grinder to be separate, what are you getting with #1 which you are not getting in #2? The only differences I understand are: 1) Automatic tamp (would be super nice to have) 2) Temperature control (useful, but holding a thermometer in the milk could somewhat achieve this if you are willing to monitor it manually. 3) Americano Button (pesonally don't care for this) Is there any other difference, such as the specs of the boiler? Additionally, Do you plan to add feature #1 and #2 to the dual boiler? Regards, Sudhir

So the volumetric dispensing is not based on any water flow sensor, but rather, it's still based on time. Wouldn't the volume differ depending on the coarseness, amount, and tamping pressure of the coffee ground? So a measure of volume based on timing will not be accurate unless all other variables are the exactly the same.

any idea how to remove the "service" message that appears after 5000 cycles on the breville bes900 w/o sending it to the factory?

can you use the dual boiler in a small coffee shop? max 150 cups per day?
@SeattleCoffeeGear9 жыл бұрын
Hello marioidrovorodri, It might be able to handle low commercial capacity, but it is not recommended. According to Breville, the Dual Boiler (along with their other espresso machines) is intended for household use only and it also may void the warranty if it is used in a commercial setting. ~ Sarah

Will increasing the steam boiler temp increase its pressure, or just the heat of the steam available?
@SeattleCoffeeGear9 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the question WeeemRCB! Yes, it will increase the pressure..... but Brevilles as a brand just have a lighter steam pressure in general, so you won't ever get a lot of pressure from them.

Hi Gail, I own a the 920XL Db in the UK and I'm finding that the power saving/auto off is driving me nuts when I'm at home all day is there anyway to defeat the setting of this?
@SeattleCoffeeGear10 жыл бұрын
Sorry from what we've tried you are not able to. On the Oracle you can change the time to 8 hours, but on the 920XL it looks like you're unable to change it. - Steven

Hi Gail. awesome as always. on the oracle model, since it auto tampers, is there a way to use pre ground beans for the machine to just tamp it? it was grounded espresso settings

Unfortunately not. But you could always tamp and just bypass that step!
