I am looking forward to this spilt line. It’s a damn shame WG doesn’t understand what an early access event is. This is absolutely dreadful especially with all of the login issues and other bugs that plague this game right now.

13:25 that should be longest range in tech tree, for premiums black Monty has spotter and can get up to absurd ranges, so that one’s a bit longer

I'll have to go through all premiums, but something like Black Monty is a rarity, so the general point of "longest range you can reasonably expect to encounter" probably stands :)

intro shows how british battlecruisers are OP. they have crazy DPM and can rebuild itself twice in the game. My Hawke has almost +10k average damage to the next best BB at t8. too much, having in mind, that all other BBS have more or less1-2k average difference between them.

This brought me one step closer to buying Iwami. Looking forward to more analysis, but if they're limited in effectiveness, unless the plane is up, then I'll probably keep playing American gunships for this style of game.

I'll try to get back to a better frequency of videos, coming weeks are still busy, still setting into the new routine. We've got a house to set up that is significantly larger than our old place, most of it from scratch, the various issues on a newly constructed place to deal with, my kid now needs to be driven to and picked up from school, which means 2h a day on the road for me etc. But we'll get there. Scharnhorst is definitely on the shortlist for next week.

good morning, the new line looks beautiful, these moles will be the perfect counter to the soft line of British battleships and American Montana types and the line of French battleships, have a nice weekend.

So far, I'm playing almost exclusively as positional flanker, due to the absolute squishiness of those things. Even cruiser AP wrecks them badly. It ends up being a slightly more egoistic style, focused on dealing damage while carefully managing HP. What I'm really looking forward to is carrier games. I can't wait to see if I can snipe CVs in the Bungo, provided the friendly CV spots.

Seems relatively easy to play - snipe / kite. Good guns, good manoeuvrability for high-tier BBs, but no armour and low HP. Hard to carry your team in those, but at least it's a unique addition, rather than a "this is simply better than the previous line" one like the RN BBs.

I will admit, the early access event for these ships is…. Very meh. Oh well, I will just wait for the full release

Lots of small issues to be dealt with in the new place, but we're getting there (slowly) :) I personally stay away from early access events. These are tech tree ships, in a month or two, they're free to grind.

I was testing how much you could use kiting to compensate for the poor armour, given the stern-bias of the gun layout, and it works decently well. Would have still been better if I had more distance to work with, given the range of those guns.

from memory, the historical gives traverse instead of torp damage reduction on the event camo, which would make it the better choice by far imo, but don't quote me on that :) I'll take a closer look as soon as I get to doing reviews.

Hmm, not quite. St Vincent is still an amazingly powerful ship, but these new IJNs can be supremely annoying in the right hands, since they kite pretty well. It's a bit like the IJN CAs, dodge, dodge, and once they get frustrated chasing you, turn around and do it all over again.

Nah, that St. Vincent got pulled out of the battle. A win for Terry's team. Had its player not been so committed to chasing down a shiny BC; it could have contributed more towards actually winning.

In my opinion it's a deception how lazy they are (i'm alao talking about the WoWs PC here). The Japanese battleship lane just have no sense. This new lane should change Amagi to Battlecruiser and if you think "what they would put in her place?" there is a simple anwser: Tosa. In that case, Yumihari would be a T7 battlecruiser, being basically a less armored Nagato (like she probably would be in reality), also Amagi would be a less armored but faster Tosa, like what she would be in reality. About the early acess event, it's just crap in my opinion, Yumihari is just too expensive that there is no way to get her unless you play 24 hours per day, but I'll try to ger the Yumihari's cammo for sure

Agreed, the original line has always been a bit weird. And Tosa actually even existed, she would have been the natural progression for Nagato. Since we're at it, let's remove Izumo, and make Musashi a non-premium at T9.

@@FunandGameswithTerry bad Idea. Musashi and Yamato are the same ship, but Yamato at T10 is the 1944 operation Ten-Go and Musashi at T9 is Yamato Class as designed and launched. For the T9 they would need to get an early A-140 Battleship variant, maybe the one that have 4×3 41cm guns. Also, if they put Musashi on T9, that would mean they shpuld put an natural progression for this and it means that or Shikishima would be the T10 or we would get A-150-A3 with 4×3 46cm guns (we would get a 300 metters long japanese Vermont lol)

Yeah, I usually ignore the events, since the ships will become available for free grind in a month or two anyway. Haven't looked into the particular horrors of this one :)
