Thanks for the time you guys take in educating us all. I’ve watched every episode within the last 2 years and many of them more than once. I learn something new in every one. Keep it up guys. A lot of us appreciates it.

Still looking forward to a real life video of shock tuning and having a car go through whoops not setup and showing us in slow motion what we should be looking for so we can setup our own cars... hint hint hint. lol Great work guys - crazy how simple the theory is on how these shocks work, but how much engineering goes into getting them to work really well! Keep it up!

For havasu chop (washboard) is that a bypass tube adjustment or piston valving?
@dkdanis13402 жыл бұрын
I was thinking does cvt compensate slightly for loss of traction like traction control. For example lets say sxs spins tires and revs go up will cvt go into a higher ratio to slow down the spinning. Are cvt's mechanical (like on some scooters) or does the ecu control them.
@ShockTherapyllc2 жыл бұрын
Mechanical but they sense load so slip will cause it to change ratio. That’s why you test CVTs in the dirt not on the street

how about talking about Walker Evans shocks and their method of controlling speeds and bump stage.

Good idea. Will do

Outstanding video guys! Tons of good information for me to digest. It was very interesting to see how off road shocks differ from the road race shocks I have used for the last 40 years. I know I am going to have some specific questions for you. Where should direct them?

When are we going to get the Full Turbo R and Pro R review? I want to know what you guys think about them. I love my Pro XP but the turbo R with the DV shocks is tempting.

How do you know where your bypass ports are located, Turbo r4 ultimate? I’m guessing ride height has something to do with it and where your shaft is positioned. Thank you
@ShockTherapyllc2 жыл бұрын
Ride height determines piston location which determines port locations. Also bump stage needs due to car weight and driving style play a factor as well. 👍🏼

How was the baja with the new car?

Pretty killer. We were pacing Blurton and sims by 30 seconds up to race mile 510. Then we double flatted on a rock in a silt bed rut. Worst place on the course to get access to. Limping out on three tires and chase truck driving all the way from the west coast put us down 3 hours. Finished 8 th. Zero car issues. It’s still tight right now so we are very happy.
