Nice Mac collection. I'd like to see the Gateway at 30:02 in more detail. I had 2 OptiPlex GX1s many years ago. I never got on with them. They had a weird bug where regardless of whether the CMOS battery was good or not, they would always 'forget' the optical drive when unplugged, and it would throw an error on startup. And the bios was always picky about which optical drives it would work with, even those that were originally fitted to the machines. They also had an annoying habit of throwing memory errors with perfectly good RAM, though on the rare occasions they worked they were great - they just had a mind of their own.

Nonody *needs* a reason to have a random Optiplex in their house. Amazing Mac display and overall setup! Wish I had more space to lay things out this well.

Hi! I really enjoyed this video! Sorry if you mentioned this and I missed it, but are you going to VCF East 2024? I'm going for the first time, and doing an exhibit. Well if you are, you should do an exhibit too because I really like your collection, and I bet others would too! :) Have a nice day! - Charlie

I'll most likely be going. I think it would be really cool to bring a bunch of iMacs and get some LAN game going. Not sure what else I could do for an exhibit, but I'd love to share it with others!

@@appleontheapex That would be pretty cool! What's going on with me: My PowerBook G4 867MHz is dead. IDK why! I opened it to repaste it and upgrade to an SSD. It worked for 2 months and then died!! My liquid cooled 2GHz G5 is great, I use it for watching KZbin sometimes! I NEVER use my 1.8 air cooled G5 because it's super loud and a bit slower. I ripped the guts out of my Macintosh LC III and turned it into a retro looking Raspberry Pi 4 case. I also ripped the guts out of a Mac Pro 3,1 and used a kit from The Laser Hive to convert it into a $1,500 Gaming PC. I built it last year. I have one of the first Apple ][+ computers ever produced, but I opened the PSU and the notorious RIFA filter cap is about to blow up, even though I've never even turned it on. I'd like to buy a replacement PSU, but as a 12 year old who wasts money on $1,500 PCs and gaming monitors, I don't even have $100. Maybe I should sell my air cooled 1.8 PMG5?! But I'd really like to get that Apple ][+ running because not only was it free, it came with almost 750 floppy discs for simple games and word processors and more. Sorry for making you read all that!!

Wow the rack of iMacs is actually very pretty! I love that! There’s a professional recording studio locally here that still uses a mirror door Mac like that one on a daily basis. I’m not entirely sure how it works but somehow it interfaces with a huge mixer board and multitrack recorders and it’s also connected to an external box of 4 removable scsi drives. I just think it’s awesome seeing old computers still being used in work environments. I absolutely love your home theater setup, you must be the king of finding great deals. All that for $800?? I used plex for ages but suddenly it started having trouble with my pi-hole no matter what I tried and also it stopped working when the internet was down (even though it was on the local network) which drove me mad! So I switched to Jellyfin and it’s been great. Do you do your own mechanic/repair work on your vehicles? Sorry for going on and on but I love seeing other peoples setups so I found the entire video completely fascinating! Happy new year!

Hi. New to your channel. I LOVE how you display your G3 iMacs. I've had some G3s myself, but unfortunately no longer have. I hope to someday get another G3 iMac, but they're getting super rare.

They're getting hard to find for cheap and in good condition. I remember people giving them away to me 10+ years ago because they just weren't worth anything. I miss those times
