READ DESCRIPTION BELOW:
Finally got to try legendary Sansamp Bass DI from Tech21. Absolutely great preamp for both live and recording. Not my kind of drive, but other than that I found it super great recording unit with build in DI.
One more thing to mention is that Bass/Treble/Level remains active even if Blend is at minimum!
Played on my custom Brutal Egregore V bass made by Brutal Guitars (definitely check credits below for this stuff).
Passive mode (Tone at max), both pickups (Delano J+MM set, MM-pickup in 'series' position).

Pedal features:
LEVEL - adjusts the output level of both the 1/4” and XLR outputs;
BLEND - allows you to blend the direct instrument signal with SansAmp Tube Amplifier Emulation circuitry. While this circuitry is bypassed (when Blend is at minimum) Bass, Treble and Level controls remain active;
BASS & TREBLE - Boosting Bass and Treble yields a “mid-cut” (at 750 Hz) where the relative mid-range level is lower than the Bass and Treble frequency levels.
Cutting Bass and Treble yields a “mid-boost” (at 750 Hz) where the relative mid-range level is higher than the Bass and Treble frequency levels. The overall output level will change relative to your EQ settings;
DRIVE - adjusts the overall amount of gain and overdrive, similar to when the output section of a tube amp is being pushed;
PRESENCE - brings out the upper harmonic content and attack for a smoother high end and for clean settings.
No compression, equalization and other types of processing, just bass plugged into pedal. Supplied by 48V phantom power of my audio interface.
Recorded with NI KOMPLETE AUDIO 6 (24bit/48kHz).
