I have and I love it. I returned the GTS and happier with this. Only unhappy about the app, login sometimes does not work with multiple devices, requires mi fit account. It is confusing and a reset of the app may lose your stored data. They really should come with a simpler app/account option. But watch is great also in the water.

I have one and i like it, but swim tracking in pool is not accurate, and dosn't give correct labs or distance.

The app used to be nicer two years ago... They are restructuring a lot of things on the app, let's hope will come with better options soon.

Tech4All their customer service is really poor. I switched phone and I can not manage to use the same account, if I try to reset the password, I get the message that my account does not exist. I guess I will have to reset watch and data and start from scratch. No reply from customer service. Mi account + zepp account etc. Is confusing.

The first one was great! I loved mine tho you gotta know that 50m watertight doesn't mean you can actually go to -50m or even just jump in a pool. Turns out the pressure created here will get right in the watch in kill it's display (talking from experience) the only thing I like more about my amazfit GTR now, is that it looks way more premium. Actually like a really nice watch with proper color rather than a cheap little feature packed watch that looks like a bunch of plastic that weights almost nothing. It's still great but it really doesn't look nor feel premium.

Thanks for this review. I've been looking for a fitness tracker with really long battery life that's at a good price. The built in GPS for running / cycling is just a plus.

Great review, but I have a question. Why do watches like this sold in Europe have the US date format on practically all of their standard watch faces? It's very annoying for those of us in the UK and, I suspect, the rest of Europe, where 6/11 is 6 November, not "June 11"!

Good point! Never really struggled with these cause I usually use the date from my phone. Hopefully Amazfit will hear you and add an option to choose. Make sure to submit your feedback with their team.

You can't. It only shows the notifications and vibrates.

Yeah. Be aware you use the amazfit/ zepp app as they call it now. It's basically the same to the xiaomi app but supports strava instead of google fit. Can only use one so you gotta decide (I went for strava so I got the amazfit app)

Great Video! I've subscribed. Quick Question - Is the Amazfit Bip S is only sold in "Chinese" from where I live (imported from China). Is there a way to change the language on the watch so that it will appear as English? Hope that you can answer soon as I will order one today as a gift. Thanks! 🙂

Hey Tim - I believe there are Chinese and international version. Usually the Chinese edition can work in English, but I am not quite sure if it is possible for the Bip S.

Why amazfit bips and Amazfit band5 can not receive a call from WhatsApp just notifications like messages !! , you do not distinguish between WhatsApp calls and messages?

Michael fiousy you can get the mi band 5 for $30-35 right now. The pixelated resolution is what bothers me on the bip s, no issue with the mi band 5

Got one from lidl because of their 30 day return policy and wasn't sure if I was going to keep it until I saw that it tracked indoor rowing. Not even the super expensive fitbit bands can do that. Main thing I don't like about it is the company, or at least the fact that they're basically a subsidiary of the Chinese Communist Party and therefore all data gathered and permissions given to the app may end up on a chinese server somewhere. Fine so long as you don't work in a job where privacy is a concern, but if you work for the government or a private company that makes some new tech, especially weapons tech, probably best to give this one a pass.

@@rohzpopper4922 You might want to look into the difference between the US and China and the lists they keep. I never said western nations didn't spy on their own people. It's the fact that China outwardly denies it repeatedly then these lists of people show up listing them as "important" or "unimportant" as well as heaps of data on certain individuals.in a way its like being back in the cold War and having a device that sends all your data to the USSR. Then there's some of the really evil stuff that China does like forced organ harvesting from prisoners of conscience (people who practice falun Gong are 'house Christians' or are ethnic Uyghurs) which has been proven through various methods, one being the fact that you can book *when* you want to get a transplant, which could only happen if the doctors knew when somebody was going to die, then there's the numbers that are off. The slave labor is pretty bad there too. It isn't really an issue for me but if I was someone who wanted to live a private life I would stay far away from Huawei and Xaomei.

Amazfit make good device with longer battery life. But not spectacular or the price will multiply by five times. Budget products sells more than top tier goods.

These are two very different watches. If you favor a light device with transflective screen - the Bip S is perfect. If you want vivid colors and more features - Mi Watch is a great one.

Nope, no GPS tracking under Bip U (you need the pro version for that) and only 9 day of battery life for Bip U while Bip S can do more than 40 days.
