When I was a little kid in the early 70's, I would stick my head out the window of my Dad's 62 Chevy K10 and watch the front tires churn through the mud. I am old now and still love seeing trucks in mud and snow.

I can’t get enough of the incredible stunts these off-road trucks can perform! It makes me think about the evolution of off-roading as a sport and hobby. With technology advancing rapidly, are we losing some of the raw, hands-on driving experience that made off-roading so appealing in the first place? On one hand, newer technologies make it easier to handle difficult situations, but on the other, they can take away from the challenge. Should we be embracing these advancements, or is there a risk that they could dilute the essence of what off-roading is all about? Would love to hear what others think!

Most people think it's the vehicle that makes the driver. That's absolutely untrue. The driver makes the vehicle. It doesn't matter how much money you paid for something does not guarantee that you know how to use it correctly. I had that proven to me first hand. Over the winter I decided to upgrade my race car. Opening day at the track I was actually running slower than I did before spending money. My friend said to me I think it's you not the car you're not used to being on a strictly track tire. He was able to go two seconds faster than I did. Turn right there before I would spend more money on modifying my car I had to learn how to drive it correctly.
