So it was because the serial should have 2 ip address to choose from is how you were able to know that it should have been 10.100.100.9? I knew the 17 was wrong but when i tried to change i did the IP addresses wrong and i was curious for future references how you knew that? Thanks again great vid

10.100.100.17 and mask 255.255.255.252 = ip in binary form 00001010.01100100.01100100.00010001 if you check the bits allocated for network (n) and for host (h) = nnnnnnnn.nnnnnnnn.nnnnnnnn.nnnnnnhh , RouterD has assigned iterface serial0/0/0=10.100.100.10 implies= 00001010.01100100.01100100.00001010 the only potencial IP to be used are here: 00001010.01100100.01100100.00001010 or 10.100.100.10 (already in use) 00001010.01100100.01100100.00001001 = 10.100.100.9 (so the only one!) cheers,
