This also happened to me because the controller had no battery so I had to charge it a little. Maybe the second cable of yours worked and the first didn't because the first one charged the controller and it was only charged enough when you used the second one.

How much time your disk spin after you insert it . Im talking about when game is already instaled and updated. After that how much time disk spins when is insert it. I noticed when i bought my ps4 month ago when i put in instaled and updated game only spin one time for 3-4 sec and stops then start spin again for 5 sec when i start the game. But now spin for 5-6 min and stops few mins when i enter in game. But i had only one game Crash Team Racing wich is 17gb probably depends on game cuz i noticed that on Call of Duty.
