Could you help? I have the same similar unit (after market). indoor chime doesn't work? it is hard wired and hooked up to the original doorbell. everything else worked; connected to app, connected to WIFI... When you push the button, you can hear the chime inside. Thx for reviewing.

Hello, I did what I am suppose to but instead of the door cam showing it keeps saying Connection Failed. My router says I have Great Internet. Now my husband & I have had this door camera for a lil over 4 yrs and we were able to connect both our cell phones to it with no issues. Since trying to connect it to my other cell phone it is not showing video or recording. I can't see no movement, it keeps buffering.

I just had the door veel as a bday present, cause way my house is I had to have it screwed to the front door. I had the plug I'm ringer and battery's with it.but I have it plugged in, but problem I'm getting is unless I have motion/motion alerts,and ring Alert all on, then I don't get any alerts. But haveing all them on it picks up every little thing. There's not a lot I'm settings to change,only those 3 buttons. My son goes school and don't pick him up, oh and I got a diffrent app. Mine call aiwit.

Its good If you can get a usb lead to the camera and run of power all the time its great i ended up going down the ring route yes you have to pay £25 a year or thereabouts but i found it works better. I now use this camera in the video on my back door to cover my garden. quality is good just keep an eyer on the battery

Hi comes with batteries plus it can be run from a usb micro in the back. to be honest I have now got the ring bell yes it cost per month but I have found it easier to share the camera with family etc. I hope this helps. Ring one I have is battery i bought two batteries so i charge one up while other is in so I can just swap when needed they do seam to last several weeks on each battery depending on use.

I wish to use external power. The instructions say 90-250V AC which seems a bit high. Some other websites say 18V/500mA. Which one? Also, can I keep the batteries in the unit while using external power or is it just one of the other. I ask because it may be useful if there is a power cut and batteries are a backup?

You can run it from a mains adapter some door bells have a higher output on there adapter you need to read the instructions. The unit can be run from batteries only if required it’s the batteries that are 3.8 to 4.2 volt each. I hope that makes sense but check user guide for more information it sounds like you have got your wires crossed 👍

The 250v is for an adapter that plugs in to the wall UK is 240v they are giving 10v Lea way. Some old doorbell transformers are 90v I think this is where the confusion is. Just run it from 3 of the 4.2 batteries. There is a micro USB on the back if you can get a lead to that you can run it from a USB adapter like for a phone or a battery bank.

Make sure its on 2.4ghz wifi and not 5ghz most routers you can change to have both signals available I would rename the 2.4 one so easy to find. Hope this helps your need to look in the router manual its normally on your web browser 192.168.0.1 or .1.1 at end.
