How did you learn Vegas?
I've been doing video production since middle school, and in Highschool I started using Movie Studios to edit with. I went to College for Video Production Tech and weren’t happy with the “industry standard” editors I used there. I’ve used VEGAS ever since.

Hi! Considering vegas pro is a lightweight program compared to other competitors... Is Vegas post lighter than adobe's after effects? If so I might consider getting it since I have a low-end PC

I don't have a lot of data on that because I've only used it on my beefy PC. I will say, they tend to scale with the size of video you use, so If you're editing only 1080p it will likely be better performance. I haven't ran AF side by side against this either.

@i'm blear g VEGAS Effect is essentially a Hitfilm Pro twin and it was designed based on an engine that interprets graphics in the same manner as gaming computations do. In that sense, VEGAS Effect is faaaaaaar more efficient when it comes to hardware use then After Effects. To get a better understanding on what hardware specs are ideal or required, go to fxhome's page and look at listed specs. You can also just opt for downloading Hitfilm Pro's express version. Its free and it will give you a good idea if VEGAS Effect will perform well on your machine. However, you must know: Hitfilm/Vegas Effect WILL NOT offer you vector animation/drawing tools. It is a film-centric motion graphic software. You also can't integrate PSD and Ai files into them.
