Very good tests, I struggled to find if it was water resistant or not and you helped me a lot. Thanks for that

is it okay if i move around the hard drive or ROTATE it while it is operating/running???
@TechforTechs5 жыл бұрын
Yes, if you’re careful. The main thing to remember is that a spinning hard drive acts like a gyroscope, and will resist any movement from its original plane. Move too much/too fast, and you’ll hear it in whining drive bearings or - worst case - the awful scraping sound of a head crash. But if you really need to move an active, spinning drive, you can: Be slow, steady, and gentle. Avoid any jolts, bumps or sudden movement. Try to keep the drive in as close to its original orientation as possible. (I.E. If the drive is lying horizontal, keep it horizontal as you slowly move it; if it’s standing vertically, move it on in that same orientation.) If you’re careful and don’t move it any further than you have to; and no more often than you have to; and retain the drive’s original orientation as much as possible; you should be able to move it without damage.

Good morning my friend. I have a serious problem with my Transcend 1 TB Storejet hard drive. The problem is that the disk did not fall, it did not crash, it has always been on my desk. But suddenly last night my computer stopped recognizing it and it doesn't recognize it on my other computers. I fear a lot for the album since all my work is inside it. The blue light turns on, and you can hear inside that it is working well; I don't hear weird noises or anything. In the device manager it appears as a USB storage device but with a yellow sign that the PC does not quite recognize it. Please help me to try to solve this problem.

It seems like you've got a bad cable. have you tried getting a new cable for the drive or borrowing it from a friend ?
