Nice monitor, but for truly portable monitors, I like the KYY trifold monitor. It has a single USB-C port that provides power and video to both monitors. I unfold it and use one wire. I have had both styles and find the single PowerPoint for both monitors more convenient. only issue with KYY is they only have 14" and no rotation.

Perfect explanation of setup. I initially had issue with power to second monitor but repeated USB to C connection and it started working. BTW, everything is identical on my unit except the name on the box which is LAPTOMO

Mine does have the symbol for video output but the screen on display says no signal. How can I troubleshoot this?

Domyfan F6 works very well. However, I have to set the F6 back from the laptop in order to plug in cables in the back of my laptop. That is, the metal rails in the back of the F6 block my ability to plug cables into the back of my laptop.

I actually bought the previous version of the dual one but it was so heavy for traveling. I bought the one monitor one, and I like that better. Really hoping for a 4K one monitor soon…. Totally agree. I have another review for a trip monitor setup that only needs one USB-C cable to run everything so we will see if that makes it a bit better.

its nice but I still think mobile pixels have got the edge still with triomax in a lot of places no downer to this though its got some touches I'd love on my setup. but the cable setup that just seems crazy the triomax and few others seen instead of adaptors that you have to put on or remove make the cable 1 piece with a usb connector and a A connector if you need the type A you plug the usb c connector into the end of the A and plug it in job done if you can use C then you plug the C connector and the A redundant.

Thanks for this video. I started researching these setups yesterday. The first one I looked at was Teamgee 14 inch Portable Monitor with extender and then I came across your review for Domyfan S6. Would you say Domyfan is a better company than Teamgee as far as reliability?

I just setup my monitors; however, the speakers are extremely very low volume. I have adjusted the monitors to 98% and still the same. Could it be a monitor defect? I followed all the steps, but the main reason I bought these were because of the speaker feature. How can I adjust the volume, or could you show us how?

Would you recommend the Domyfan S6, S2,S1 or Cevaton S3 for hybrid use both at home and on the road? I am driving myself crazy because the S6 seems like the highest quality and most versatile but the S3 seems the most convenient to travel with. Any advice would greatly be appreciated. I'm not sure i can make the decision easier but the S6 is unique in how versatile it is, but it is heavy (at least it seemed heavier than the others). The other ones you mentioned are all very similar so you may not see to much difference between them - I think they are all made from the same factory.

Hello! Saw this, and this is awesome! Does this device allow if I wanted to hook in an additional monitor into the HDMI port if I only have 1 HDMI port and 1 USB-C port?

Yes, it should have a cable that is HDMI to USB-C. Just make sure you plug it into the port marked as HDMI (hard to see on the black plastic) and make sure you provide power to the HDMI monitor

Is there a way to attach the monitors to a laptop? If I wanted to sit on my sofa and work with my laptop on my lap and the extenders attached, could I do it? Or do I have to have my laptop on a stand/table?

You cannot connect it to the laptop - you can with the S1 or S2 model but even then, the monitors are a bit heavy in my opinion to sit with it on your lap.

I use a usb hub for my mobile pixels triomax then you only need 1 usb port instead of 2

Can you plug both of those monitors to an outlet? Or use a power brick for both of those monitors?

Yes, it takes normal 5v power so a wall plug would work if you need the extra power.

Display Devices Note that you can use external displays connected to the HDMI-Out port and/or Mini DisplayPort and/or Display- Port over USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C port. See your display device manual to see which formats are supported.

Only the left monitor works it’s connected to usb-c. Right monitor is connected with hdmi. Any advice?

Just make sure that the hdmi cable is plugged into the correct port on the back of the monitor. Mine was the bottom one and labled HDMI. Other than that, I'm not sure.

How are you trying to connect each screen? What cables?

@@techfulgoodies on the left screen with c-1 to the Thunderbolt 3 and the right screen to the other Thunderbolt 3. The right screen does not have a signal. Then I tried, as you mentioned in the video, with the HDMI cable, which also did not work.

@@myriammonterrubio474 It's pretty hard for me to diagnose without actually being there and I don't use a Mac but I can give some suggestions. I would think that the 2nd thunderbolt should work. Try plugging it in by itself to make sure a video signal is coming out. For HDMI, that should work too...just make sure you plug it in to the port marked HDMI in the back of the screen. Usually there are multiple back there and only one works for the HDMI. Hope that helps - sorry I couldn't provide more info.

I just my MSI Titan, but the it doesn’t detect the screens, and the screens always go to sleep mode. I’m using both USB C port on my laptop but nothing.

I was so excited for these, but the only port that is working is one C port. The usb, HDMI, and the other C port aren't working. These are useless to me. I have a new laptop (corporate issued) and these should work. I'm totally bummed. It isn't the ports, they work with other accessories.

Most computer users place their laptops on a stand. If it doesn’t work with a stand, then it’s pointless in my opinion. Additionally, the screens appear very dark compared to your laptop screen, and the quality seems very low.
