Thanks for this video. Most of these types of videos recommend the same software that others have recommended for years: Gimp, Audacity, etc... I was expecting this to be the same. It wasn't. You actually recommended some software that I am not familiar with.

On Windows, if you just want to record the whole screen, hit Windows Key + G, and use the built in high performance recorder.

As a long time Kodi user... it's essentially useless if you have a smart tv. Add-ons stop working and devs stop supporting them. I'm sure others will disagree, but that's been my experience.
@indievert2 күн бұрын
It's not useless at all because I purchased a streaming device although I had a smart TV so I could find shows from years past (and current) and watch all episodes commercial free. Basically free Netflix w/o ads.

@indievert With what working add-on? They come and go and it's a pain to keep tracking down working ones. Easier just to use a web browser.
@RaineWilderКүн бұрын
@@indievert He’s not wrong, just because it works today doesn’t mean it will work tomorrow. The best advice I can give is - get smart tvs that let you install a browser and use sites that you find on Google, although it’s the same problem with these sites as with the Kodi plugins, but there are more options on the web.

I'm trying to learn from audio in another language . . . so I'm looking for an audiobook/audio lecture player with really convenient speed & pitch, fast-forward & fast-rewind controls. Any ideas?

@Brett in Tech, in your opinion how's Jellyfin as compared to Kodi?

They are very similar. I prefer the UI for Kodi and the various customization options.

CleverPDF should be on the list. Edit: it inter-converts almost any document format e.g. PDF to DOCX, PPTX, etc. It’s not nagware.

I'd been looking for something like that, and found PDFgear which I installed a couple of weeks ago, but haven't had time to try it out yet. It was recommended.
