I disagree about the weight. My S25U feels a lot lighter than my S24U. And you don't have to put your sim card in your new phone, as the S25U has Esim, and doesn't need a physical sim in it.

I can tell you my thoughts. They're no wear near as good as my s22U for some reason? I'm hopeful it's a software problem. Haptics and vibrations mean a lot to me. I also use pixel phones and iPhones. As you know, they're top of the line for that. Other than that, this phone is amazing.

Got the black and am very happy, love the colour. I noticed that the vibration motor was a little bit worse on the S25 ultra compared to the S24 ultra. When I put both vibration to max intensity within the calls section of the sounds settings, to me the S24 felt more full bodied and more premium whereas the one in the S25 ultra felt more tinny and not as premium. Don't know if it's my unit or if it's universal.

That might be because of the S-Pen. Take it out and try the vibration again.

It's not just you. They downgraded everything. Even the metal and plastic on everything is a lower grade. Feel the spen it just feels so much cheaper

It's not just your phone. I noticed coming from an s22U. That's the only thing i do not like. Other than that, I love my phone. Im hoping it's a software thing? I also use iPhones & pixels. So haptics and vibrations mean a lot to me. It truly matters. Fingers crossed 🤞 Samsung will fix it.

Many of the software features will come with One UI 7, which is why I recommend holding off another year if you have the S24 Ultra. That said, the cameras are noticeably better on the S25 Ultra. And the battery life is pretty impressive.

Hey, Eric I know with the S24 Ultra you can use 2 esims but, you can only use one at a time, not like the iPhones you can use 2 esims at the same time meaning you can receive calls from both eSIMs. Can the S25 Ultra use 2 eSIMs like iPhones?

I love the difference in the weight. I have an s22U, and it's a major difference for me. Everything about this phone is so damn good. Don't get me wrong , if my s22U didn't have stuttering issues while scrolling through the major apps i use. I never would've upgraded. I know the s26U is gonna be even better. Yet i love my s25U she's amazing at everything 😍

I read that Mag cases don't impact the S-pen. Its when the accessories are attached that there's an issue. Is that the situation with this Torras?

It depends on the accessory. Some affect the S Pen more than others. Basically, the stronger the magnets on the accessory, the more of an effect it will have on the S Pen. The Torras case, unfortunately, doesn't prevent that. Also, just a heads up, some magsafe cases do affect the S Pen. I have an ESR case that interferes with the pen on my S24 Ultra, for example.

Really hoping they make Good Lock's full suite of plugins available soon on the S25U, as I miss some of them dearly (e.g., NavStar and Home Up). Oddly enough, my folder grid setting remained as I had set it with Home Up on my S24U (it even says "By Home Up"), so I'm hoping that they'll make the plugin available, so I can implement the other tweaks that didn't stick (e.g., app switcher).

It looks like NavStar is available now, at least on my US, Unlocked S25 Ultra. I maybe try updating good lock to see if it appears. But I still don't see Home Up. Hopefully that'll be added soon. I know the S25 Ultra didn't have access to Good Lock at all when I first got the phone. But a few days later, it did.

@@TechisodeTV Unfortunately, after uninstalling NavStar and even Good Lock, then reinstalling both, the status of the NavStar app still says "Unplugged," and when I tap on it, I still get a msg: "We're preparing an update. Try again when you see the update available..." Oh well, hopefully soon. I'm also on unlocked US version.

S25U weight feels much more balanced and device feels almost hollow. S24U feels like a solid brick. Also, we need to be able to alphabetically sort app drawer in horizonal. They would listen to you but won't respond to us.

I never care for any wireless charging much less having mag safe case on it. I charge my phone once a day. Since it takes only maybe an hour to charge my phone from 30 percent, it is more practical to use wire charging. It is faster and more efficient.

Unfortunately, no. I tried it and it didn't work. Mainly because the bluetooth features are tuned off in the software.

Yeah, it's pretty disappointing. I'm really hoping they keep the Bluetooth functionality in their tablets. I use the favorite pen shortcut all the time when I'm writing/editing my guides. Fortunately, though, many of the removed features on the S Pen can be done with voice, hand gestures, or a Galaxy Watch. Perhaps I'll have to make a video showing all of that. :)

Hey, can you actually remove the oliophobic screen? I generally use glass alcohol free lens wipes on my phone screens but I heard you mention only using water only. Never heard this before so what's the correct way to clean your phone?

I used Dawn dish soap when I got poison ivy on my S24 Ultra once while doing yard work. I think that was too harsh and may have wiped some of the coating off... Or the S25 Ultra just has smoother glass. 🤷‍♂️ I've used all sorts of wipes in the past with no issues. So if you haven't had an issue yet, I'm sure you're fine to keep using the wipes. I just wouldn't try Dawn dish soap :)

So the 7 years of updates is a lie. Each year you will get les & less in the update until all you get is the O/S & security. All the new features will be limited then gone.

You will get 7 years of Android updates just like iPhones. Only Google and Samsung changed to 7 years of Android updates starting from 2024. You will get more higher pay when you resell. Android is the main OS, so this is the most important. On Android, Samsung is adding more special things to make better phones each year to get compared with other brands.

I now also have the s25u from 22 ultra to 25u, but what strikes me and also in this video is that white is not really white, white is more a bit creamy white, which I think is a shame

You might be able to fix that by going to Settings > Display > Screen Mode >Adjust white balance to a cooler color. Or tap "Advanced settings" and move the "Vividness" slider. You could also make sure "adaptive color tone" is disabled in the display settings.

Yeah, it's really 1% of people who enable the "usage patterns" toggle to let them track how you use your phone. And I'm willing to bet that the people who use the Bluetooth s pen features are the same ones who don't enable the usage patterns toggle.

You can still enable the "left your s pen behind?" message because the phone knows when the S Pen is in the silo. But yeah, it can't tell if the S Pen is nearby anymore.
