I have been using my phone from past 2 years ,Oppo K3 Note . The processor is Snapdragon 710 ,and thankfully oppo hasn't slowed down this phone through updates . I am definitely looking forward for another 1 year with this phone 😅 So ,I believe the other powerful processor phones can easily go beyond 3years and the one with 8XX series can go till 4 years too. Considering you don't get bored with your phone (and that's what is happening with many people out there )

MIUI ke sath toh mera phone mar hi gaya tha..but 5 years se custom rom pe apna phone chala raha hu...and mujhe sach me aaj tak kuch bhi problem nhi aaya not even software or hardware issue... Bas ek bar mene galti se mera phone ka battery ka wiring kharab kar diya tha... otherwise abhi tak no issues.

You are absolutely right. I have Oneplus 7 Pro (8+256GB). It works flawlessly when using oxygen os 11. But as soon as I updated it to oxygen os 12, it became sluggish, and the overall smoothness was drastically reduced. Then I downgraded it back to OOS 11, and my experience was good again. I feel like Oneplus has kept their promise to give us Android 12, but behind the scenes made their skin heavy or made the phone slower intentionally so that we would think to buy their latest phone to feel the best experience they have to offer. Bascially, what I am trying to convey here is that my oneplus 7 pro works really good even after 4 years, and I hope to keep using it for a couple more years until the apps are no longer supported. It has still good specs, the screen is good, processor, ram and storage is still relevant today. I would only get my battery replaced as it is the only component in my phone which has degraded over time.

@Harsh Rathore It all comes down to personal preference and your budget bro. Oneplus is going to release Nord CE 3 which seems to be really good specs wise. In terms of build quality we would be seeing durability test by a lot of tech reviewers. And if the device isn’t a faulty one, then I think any phone can and should work for at least 4-5 years. Oneplus 11R is also good. It all comes down to processor and amount of RAM. If the phone processor can handle modern apps of that time, then your phone should be good. In such cases, snapdragon 8xx series processors are supposed to be durable and new Dimensity 8xxx and 9xxx series are equally good. I would suggest, go for any of these two processors and at least 8 gigs of ram. Storage wise if you can get 256gb with ufs 3.1/4, you are all set for at least a couple of years. Improvements in mobile industry has slowed down quite a bit because we have already got good hardware features in terms of camera, screen, battery, charger. One more thing to add here Oneplus does support unlocking bootloader so you can easily find good custom roms if you get bored with OOS. Vivo, iqoo doesn’t support unlocking bootloader. I hope it helps.

Actually snapdragon 855+ has reached its end of support from Qualcomm with no more firmware updates... Now you're completely at the hands of OnePlus and their updates... 700 series aur 800 series ke gaming version mein bahut farak hai actually. Graphic intensive games like Genshin Impact makes it very apparent. But normally speaking 800 series generally will be smooth with almost everything for 3-4 years. 4 is the max limit for 800 series.

Bro Mere 2 Realme 7 donwgrade hogye sirf launch ke 2 months ke under hi. Aur downgrade bohot hi zyada huwa hai aur bhi downgrade hota jaa raha hai. Battery to bilkul nahi chalti pehle 1 din chal jata tha ab 3 hours bhi nahi chalta. Aur bohot slow aur laggy ho gya hai. My 30k got wasted.

Maine samsung ka phone A7 2017 model 52 month use ker chuka hu abhi bhi mujhe usmai agar koi change mila to bas battery drain ka baqi sab kuch waisa hi chal raha h ha ye baat alag h dil bhar jata h aur doora phone lene ka dil kerta h to maine bhi Note 20 ultra le hi liya,, mujhe Samsung phone hi pasand hai,, my first phone was galaxy S3 then A7 2017 Now Note 20 ultra

Im currently using nokia 5.1 plus since March 2019 and it's still running quite well considering its 3+ year old phone. Although i had to replace the charging port twice in the last 3 yrs but except that, everything still seems to run fine and nokia provided me 3 years of security updates in this phone(they stopped giving updates after December 2021). Im thinking of upgrading of to a new phone now but will use this phone till it's last breathe and who knows i might use it for another year lol. The only problem I'm seeing in today's phones is that they've become so gimmicky and boring especially when it comes to camera performance as i want a good camera phone now but there are hardly any good options in the budget range or even mid range which wasn't the case until 2020 which is quite sad
