Great info. But, despite what law is on the books, whistleblowers are not protected here in the US. They're "encouraged" so that they can be weeded out.

@Techlore - Dude... It is truly astonishing what you’ve done here in creating this “Go Incognito” library.. It’s a shame that Google most likely throttles its success down, but knowing this resource is here has been a GO TO for me since it was published. Your first video in 2017 was what i used to open the eyes of people closest to me (who’s INsecurity could actually effect ME).. You are an under-appreciated asset to the free citizens of this world. With that said, I am in need of security assistance as I’ve been recently compromised on several levels and am in need of a fresh start. However, I’m VERY OVERWHELMED with massive amounts of data that must remain secure and many devices that have become WebSecLAZY.. I also have certain devices and programs that I’m not quite sure how to implement. I NEED HELP. I’m a retired NJ police officer, so if you’re worried that this is a solicitation for nefarious advice, worry no more. I don’t expect you to spend hours of uncompensated time helping me, I just need a few specific questions answered to help get me started. If you see this, and are willing to give me a hand, please email me at

Coming from a country that's had dozens of years of experience without the right to privacy, it's easy for me to figure out why privacy matters. You, like most people, are a good law abiding citizen. But there are assholes out there who might want to turn your life into a nightmare with just a little bit of your private information. "Privacy isn't about something to hide. It's about something to protect." - Ed Snowden, 2018 Great job with this course!

@Lucas Zhu Probably in a country that was part of the former Soviet Union or in Germany where privacy didnt existed for a couple decades. The People of the USA never had a reality check like this and are therefore blissfully ignorant to mass surveillance and where it can lead to. It wasnt politics that enslaved those people, it was the knowledge and thus power that the authorites had about their people.

Best response to "if you aren't doing anything wrong, why's privacy matter? I'm not doing anything wrong when I'm taking a poop in the bathroom, but that doesn't mean I want anyone else in my bathroom stall watching me. A reasonable expectation of privacy is necessary to being a well adjusted human.

I had the FBI investigate me as a precautionary measure from a traffic ticket(for real) and when the agent came to my house for the follow up interview he very nonchalantly agreed that my online footprint didn't have any anti government rhetoric. I thanked him for checking hahahahaha

Just a few musings on the topic of privacy. Can we really expect the layman to know what is best for the country, especially when relevant information is classified and kept from the public eye? Likewise, not classifying methods or tools with which investigations are run, potentially puts law enforcement at a substantial disadvantage. The result is that anyone with desire for privacy gets pushed into services with end to end encryption. It seems that the government expects privacy from the private citizen, while the opposite is discouraged.
@techlore6 жыл бұрын
Investigations are one thing...but mass surveillance is another topic entirely. Investigations are performed on suspicious individuals, not everybody. Mass surveillance casts a much larger net that has shown time and time again to not be effective.

Violating your rights and privacy is only done for your safety and protection. Also, if you have any free thoughts hanging around in your brain, you should hand those over immediately... for your own protection of course!

Nice short video, but are you aware that there is NO WORKING LINK anywhere on your techlore dot tech pages that allows the user to read about, let alone purchase, the paid version of your coursework? The only "working" link in this regard is the Udemy link, which loops back to exactly the same page on which that link and "portal" are located! Some of the other links do work, like to your funding page and patreon page.

Yep! The Udemy course will only be done once the free version is fully released, we’re making this more clear on the site. As for the sources and changelog, peep the pinned comment on this video 😊 We’re working hard to get it uploaded as soon as possible.

The fact that I can request a data broker to give me information on someone for a low cost is so fucked up. “I’m doing nothing wrong”, “They are only selling my data for targeted ads! I like ads that are relevant!” - oh so do you also like strangers knowing where you live, what your phone number is, what your name is, and any other information?
