Wish more of these services existed for the typical consumer, especially with regard to ecommerce. I wish Dallas talked more about PrivacyPost's ecommerce offerings because it seems promising; being able to purchase from digital retailers without exposing your home address is a huge offer. We do offer ecommerce proxy to clients however it is rarely used for reasons of the extra cost, shipping delays and the "perceived" free shipping of prime. More in demand are ecommerce providers using our address as a business address and for returns.

Since Dallas is intending to go to the EU, id be interested if there are any plans for starting a similar service in the EU. Or if there is any good pre existing service for this in the EU. My only issue with Techlore resources is that all recommended services related to banking/address aliasing or data deletion services are all limited to the US :/

EU is a flag or hub not a destination :). This is a great question and a dedicated episode. Many privacy features are already baked into services, banking, governance and even lifestyle. The UE is constantly kicking FANG to the curb. Virtual cards are a standard feature in ALL banking apps in Portugal and perhaps the EU. Revolut and Wise are prevalent. The only challenge is the common EU citizen refuses to pay even €1 for a privacy service so everyone uses whatsapp and gmail. WorldPost often consults on a International strategy so we are happy to assist.

We also have secured residential addresses here in Sioux Falls. These are airbnb style apartments available for your proof of accommodations when traveling to South Dakota for residency. When you secure a residential address you will attest this is the abode you will return to after a long absence.

We will be operating a virtual mail service out of Lisbon Portugal at some point in the future. There has not been enough demand at this point. We do assist internationals moving to Portugal by providing a residential address.

We should not need to go to this extreme to be private. I'm glad there is a service like this, but the real problem is that this kind of service is needed in the first place.

@@KeywordManagement How is claiming South Dakota as a residential address for tax purposes legal? Don't you have to establish a domicile in SD? Staying at a hotel for a night sounds questionable. Where can one find more info on this? Also, disappointed to hear the talk about Portugal. The locals there have been getting absolutely decimated by foreigners (especially Americans) coming in in recent years. Housing has become a huge problem for them.

@@frankboyer1490 Most location independent folks using the South Dakota strategy change state residency (domicile) to South Dakota. We advise all clients to confirm to the definitions of domicile and change residency to South Dakota.

@@frankboyer1490 Our Portugal services are outside the scope of this episode however I am very involved in the Portugal rental market to internationals mostly in Lisbon and Porto. I agree with your statement with two comments. 1). The housing crisis is worldwide even in America. 2.) The vacation rental market IMO is far more destructive to the residential communities and housing than the internationals.
