Seizures are very common in vascular malformations, particularly in AVM and cavernomas. As with cavernomas, AVMs may present primarily as an epileptic disorder. In these cases, do you perform a pre-operative epileptological workup? And could you please elaborate on the need for resection of the brain surrounding AVMs and cavernomas (hemosiderin rim in the case of the latter one)?
