Volumes are the preferred mechanism for persisting data generated by and used by Docker containers
: docker volume //get information
: docker volume create
: docker volume ls
: docker volume inspect
: docker volume rm
: docker volume prune
Instead of deleting containers one by one of #docker ps -a , we can use docker container prune. and for docker ps (running containers) we can use docker rm $(ps -aq)

Sharing volumes in new containers using UBUNTU image takes you inside container as root (#), but when i tried with images like chef, ansible, jenkins etc. takes you inside container as normal user ($), not able to create any files (no permissions), why it is so, can Sir or anybody help in this plz? If we use command docker run -it to build container then after container creation, by default, we will be into container. Use command docker run -itd, if we want to be in host machine not container once container is created. d stands for detach. 19:00 docker create is for only creating the container, docker start is for running the conatiner which is already created, docker run is for both creating and running it at the same time.

You can use your docker host existing folders and attach to the image or when you run the image to a container. Its very irritating to see you just emphasize the volume creation within the image.
