I just got A+ certified this morning. I cannot wait for you guys out there to taste this feeling when you cross that line too. My experience was a burnout and anxiety that I had after passing the first exam (last year)... realising how much it took out of me to pass core 1 made me dread the core 2 because I just did not think I could sacrifice that much all over again. The voucher I bought while excited for passing Core 1 (in May 2021) expired, unused in May 2022, that's how bad scared I was. I actually went and had to buy a new one as if I had failed the core 2, when I didn't even try. Maybe letting that voucher expire kind of gave me the same relief (and ass-kicking ) I would have gotten if I had actually tried and failed. Either way, this here gentleman is right. I blew off my family, my partner of 3 years, all 2 of my friends and I will never be a gamer again because I got addicted and it destroyed me, can't focus for shit after work so I get to the office at 5am to study. I sure hope it'll all be worth it one day. I can certainly say without a doubt the feeling of accomplishment and reward comes close enough for now. Keep at it gents! Looking forward to starting the journey towards N+ in a few weeks. Love

Another great IT Motivational video by Andrew Ramdayal. I just completed his A+ 220-1001 course and it was great as well. I'm an older guy wanting to get into IT and I think that I can get the certs that I need taking Andrew's courses. Please keep them coming and please know that effort and candor that you put into your courses is much appreciated. Thank you sincerely!

A+ is the gate to enter the IT field. A+ is difficult because it covers the breadth of dang near everything that is IT related. It also includes references to older technology that you may never encounter in your who career if you are just starting out. I just left an IT position at a rural hospital in the US that had me, a tech with less than a year experience, working on networking issues, VOIP, cable installation, and even work on little label printers and printer repair. The presenter is correct that consistent studying and recalibration of your lifestyle is imperative for most if you want to pass. It can be done but you have to really want it.

comptia's old a+ certification is lifetime and really outdated. but people still get hired current day. new certification expires every 3 years. that's insensible.

Thank you this was very inspiring! I've struggled with depression and anxiety my whole life. It really sidetracked my college experience and I ended up dropping out after three years. I always knew I had some kind of learning problem on top of that as well.... I'm very tech savvy, but I tried to take an online A+ course a few years back and could just not keep up with or retain the material. Two years ago I finally got diagnosed with ADHD. It really changed my life knowing why I struggled so much with learning and motivation. I spent 10 long years in the restaurant industry until I finally snapped and quit with no plan at the end of March. I wanted to give IT one more try but it just seemed so daunting. This whole time, I did not know about the ITF+. It's certainly not for everyone, but I took an ITF+ class as a last ditch effort for my sanity. I really did have to adapt my lifestyle to commit to this, on top of medication and therapy. Just learning how to adapt and learn HOW to learn with ADHD in itself was a struggle. In May, I passed my ITF+ on the first try! Despite it being the "easiest" certification though, it was extremely eye opening. I expected to breeze through it and was surprised at how much more difficult it was than I was expecting. The wording CompTIA uses is very tricky and there are often multiple right answers. But passing the ITF+ gave me the motivation to keep going. I'm taking an A+ class for core 1 right now. I was feeling discouraged when I hopped onto youtube to browse from videos about the exam. Long story short, this video really really helped me so THANKS :)

I’m in a similar situation! Glad to hear someone else going into IT coming from restaurant experience. I’ve also been in the restaurant industry for 10 years and have gone back to school for cybersecurity, but right now I’m focusing on my CCNA but do plan to get the A+ as well while I’m working on my degree

No NO!!! The hardest part of the A+ is... Drum roll... Is ... BURNOUT!!!! I am unemployed and have all the time in the world, but if you go hard and study like a mad person, you are going to get a headache and have a billion and one questions about every little thing you have learned and that is what makes it hard to calm down and focus on "what is important for the exam." That being said understanding the material vs trying to just pass the exam is a completely different thing when it comes to the BIG test... PASSING THE JOB INTERVIEW!!!

I first took the CompTIA A+ exam after graduating from community college with a major in Computer Science and Information Technology, and this test was very hard to pass. I later got my BS degree from Cal State Channel Islands, and ended up getting Network+, Security+, and CISSP certifications, but as Andrew stated, the CompTIA A+ was the hardest test I had taken.
