It's used in sour service, h2s service to prevent from corrosion by controlling % of element like sulphur during manufacturing of raw material like fitting, plate, pipe, flange, welding consumables Hardness restriction also must. Nace MR0103, naceMR 0174 are two most specs used

The element compositions are the same for the respective grade of material. The only difference is the percentages differ. More stringent.

@@cck0728 due to formation of coarse grain because of that stress is high at grain Boundaries, on apply of heat new grains form dislocation of grains started grains arranged in definte pattern release of stress at grain boundaries
