Technics RS-DC8 dcc & Technics RS-B965 service and cleaning

Took my other two tape decks for the Christmas revitalization. The analogue has more potential ( and parts out there ) to be brought back to life whereas the dcc remains just an eye candy 🍭....for now!

Hé " TèçhńïçS-Ń-ThūßíâśT" my dcc rs-dc8 reads analog dcc and k7, but does not record... any idea where this could be coming from??? Thanks in advance

Greetings. Really not sure but I’d check the “read and write board” for leaking capacitors first. Hope this helps

Il technics RS-B965 e un registratore eccellente,l'altro non lo considero,non mi piace la cassetta dcc

Ho il DCC perché ne ho sempre voluto uno solo per divertimento. DAT è un registratore digitale molto migliore. DCC è interessante in quanto riproduce sia nastri analogici che digitali. ENG-I have the DCC as I've always wanted one just for fun mostly. DAT is a much better digital recorder. DCC is interesting as it plays both analogue and digital tapes.

@@technics-n-thuiast8346 Lo so e ti capisco,so anche che il registratore dcc legge la cassetta standard,l'altro commento diceva il mio punto di vista,se tu hai voluto anche un dcc,va bene cosi,a me non piace neanche la cassetta dat,anche se riconosco che suona bene,io ho la passione della cassetta standard,e il suono perfetto c'e la anche lei,posso dimostrarlo a chiunque

@@giuseppelavecchia775 Assolutamente vero. Anch'io ascolto di più le cassette analogiche. Uso altri registratori/lettori principalmente per divertimento, confronto e raramente per trasferire determinati formati (come CD) su una cassetta analogica o un DAT per renderlo più analogico. L'ho già detto altrove come alcuni CD possono suonare troppo aggressivi e quando vengono trasferiti su DAT quell'aggressività diventa meno fastidiosa. ENG-Absolutely true. I too do listen to analogue cassettes the most. I use other recorders/players mostly for fun, comparison and rarely to transfer certain formats ( like CD ) to a either analogue cassette or DAT to make it sound more analogue. I have said it before elswhere how some CD's can sound too aggressive and when transfered to DAT that aggressivnes becomes less anoying.

@@technics-n-thuiast8346 voglio raccontarti una cosa,in passato ho avuto a che fare con registratori e cassette dat,che ho sentito e testato per ore,la cassetta dat,suona molto bene,ma comunque non e' mai riuscita,per così dire,e aggiungo giustamente,a spodestare dal trono,la vera cassetta,quella che tutto il mondo conosce,la cassetta standard.io sono nato per questa cassetta,ne sono fanatico,una passione infinita,e ti assicuro che non la batterà mai nessuna altra cassetta,e la storia lo conferma.
