What Nick says early on about any random movements or actions is worth the entire video. So very valuable.

Ronnie's eye cue action is feathering twice to the cue ball first then pause by looking on the object ball then repeat again to the cue ball. :-)

The important thing is that he is consistent on all shots - which we should all aim for

Hi Nic, which technique are you using the first one or second? after watching this video I have been trying to find which technique the professionals are using? Specially Ronnie O'sullivan, which technique is he using? Thank you Nick your videos always have been helpful.

It does not matter which other players use - choose what is comfortable for you and use that.

What others do is irrelevant - just find what works for you and do that...

hey Nic, So you try to sync your eye movements with the pendulation of the cue? More importantly, on the final stroke (the hit) do you look at the cue ball or the object ball? Thanks

Yes And personal preference - modern day players tend to be cue ball

Hi Nic. I was wondering if, during the final stroke, you should be looking at the red ball itself or the line of aim that you're cueing down.
@tenzinsingey96547 жыл бұрын
Hi NIc, I am bit confused here. In above video you are talking about looking at the object ball when you are about to deliver the shot. but you said, "modern day players tend to be cue ball." please explain me. thanks

Hi sir, your videos are good. How much time should I play a day to stay in form. Cos if I stopped playing for 2 days my form is gone again. I need your advice. Thank you

Everyone is different but you have to find your own formula ie less sessions with more time, or more sessions with less time

what is the Correct aiming method! (i used to find the line of aim while standing, then while featuring, i used to find the angle where the ball is going, and at the final back swing i used to look at the angle towards pockets while looking at the object ball) But a club player told me to look at just the object ball once you are down. so what i do is now looking the object+cueball while featuring and at the final back swing i look at the object ball. but game is worse then ever. WAT DO U THINK?

Who is this person who told you that! Ignore them! Pro's spend the majority of their time looking at the cue ball when down - because without being certain of where you are addressing cue ball relative to where you intend to strike it.... aiming at the object ball is a waste of time

Hello nic how are you. Sir I need your review on my cue action. Please help me. Bridge at 10.5 inchs and grip at 51 inches. (1) GRIP : Hold cue in finger pads to be squeezed while playing the shot( steve davis youtube). (2) Right TOE pointing at the aim line. Note : Both feet angeling on line and body perpendicular to the shot. (3) Bring STICK down on the Aim line. BEND half first take aim and then fully. (4)put CHIN by keeping eye on line of aim. (5) HEAD straight. (6) CUE normal length untill with the pace needed is memorised. Note : Have some rythm. Pace : Slow - Small and slow cuing. Normal - Normal and smooth. Fast - Jerky and fast cuing. Super power shot : Cue for a power rythm. (7) BACKSWING slightly firmly(for steadiness), Aiming. (8) Confidentely accelerating smoothly(smoothness should not be visible enough), hit the CHEST with the pace of cuing. GTS CH CBC AIM : Aim directly by the tip to the point on the object ball by visualizing the place where the contact actually is gono happen. SIDE : After aiming move your bridge hand. REST : Arm about parellel. Less cuing n back swing. TS CH G CBC SWERVE : bridge on longest two finger, aim a point on the table for the spin accordinly set for the the line of the shot. Many thanks in advance.

If you listen to the commentary, it is to demonstrate when and where the eyes are looking which students find easier to grasp than looking at tiny eye motions
