1. Kick 2.1 HiHat 2.2 Shaker (to add groove) 2.3 Perc 3.1 Synth - Theme (musical thing, not just the rythm) 3.2 Synth that bridges the gap between melody and rythm 4. FX, background element (4.1 Pad; 4.2 Vinyl noise) 5. Automation (dry/wet, delay time, frequency, osc position etc.) 6. Polyrythms (Arp restarting in different places) 7. Power/Fatness (grouping and processing together) 8. Building tension (automation) 9. Arrangement 10. Put it all together Thanks Julien!

Arrangement example from an app ther video of his. 1. Intro 2. Build up (using filters) 3. Break (no kick) 4. Drop (kick comes back) 5. Build up (introduce new element) 6. Next break (no kick) 7. Drop (kick comes back) 8. Outro (using filter) Add FX samples, white noise etc at key moments

ok.. he did a simple cute explanation of basics.. but what u said is so not true.. Even the master himself, Richie Hawtin, has some very good and rly pro stuff on youtube.. and not only him.. there is a bunch of techno (or any genre really) producers nowdays that put info online.. [eg check the Point Blank Music School videos]

Great video, just disagree on the fact that all techno track have to be banger and hit as hard as possible, however it's true that you need a minimum of punch and an overall loudness similar as other songs.

boosting the transients usually gives good results for dance music, adds more punch to the start of the sound so it stands out more

FuZZbaLLbee In this instance the kick leaves no room for bass, I think. The kick has lot of bass. You can do it, but you need a ‘weaker’ kick’ then.

@@jmp01a24 hmm I'm not sure about the monthly fees what do you mean by that, but if you havent purchased any DAW from ableton the price for the SUITE is $749. I was actually able to purchase it on monthly payments.

I always like the feeling of Amin a lot (not just cause its easy and all white keys) and Eb minor. Fmin is also great. In truth all keys are great in their own way I suppose, I just prefer those :) go with what feels right for the track!
