Did the same process on poco x3. First I tried it with Europe ROM but there was no MIUI Dialer in it. So, had to again flash Indonesian version. Now it is working perfectly. It didn't even ask me to wipe my data. 🙂🙂 Thanks for this awesome tip.

Because it reads the version you have selected from the server and hence if you directly select the older version, it analyses from the server and don't allow to do so for security reasons. Therefore we have to do this trick.

Bro actually until the bootloader is locked, the os will not allow you to change the region of your miui by using a recovery rom. But you can flash the rom of the same region with an updated os. But if the fastboot is unlocked you can flash any rom using mi flash tool.
