The whole point of the Paris Climate Agreement was to justify increased taxes based on flawed science. It is important to reduce harmful pollutants but the claim that carbon dioxide is a pollutant and causes the earth's weather to change is incorrect. Carbon dioxide is an essential gas for all plant life and currently the earth's atmosphere has a shortage of carbon dioxide to the point that if it goes lower, plant life will suffer. With this fact, is it wise to attempt to reduce it more?

CARBON TAXES DO WORK, LITERALLY HUNDREDS OF EXAMPLES ACROSS THE WORLD.
@qpalzmwoskxn8275 жыл бұрын
A carbon tax is by far the most effective way to quickly move people and companies to more sustainable options, and if you research it you’ll find most people get money BACK from it. I know taxes are never popular but please do research on the carbon tax before making your mind up.
@st-ct4mv5 жыл бұрын
right I'm not going to heat my house or drive to work because of the carbon tax get real, a carbon tax is a tax on the middle class, It has no effect on the wealthy (Trudeau) ,and companies will always pass additional costs down to the consumer so they make there margins.
@dpach23825 жыл бұрын
My wife and I got a total of around $450 back this year. From the first few utility bills listing the carbon tax, the increase in grocery prices, the carbon tax on gas, etc, I have projected the carbon tax will cost me roughly $790 this year. So we will be in the hole around $340 or so this year. Next year the gap widens as the carbon tax goes up.
@ogChaaka5 жыл бұрын
You dont really believe that, do you? The carbon tax is just virtue signaling while simultaneously a cash grab. Nobody in canada will change their behaviors because a tank of gas costs 2$ more. Or not heat their homes to a comfortable level. Any reasonable person was already doing what they can to minimize waste. Also if you are getting a rebate dont you wonder why you had to pay in the first place?
@qpalzmwoskxn8275 жыл бұрын
DPach if you’re in the whole $340 then you’re probably using too much carbon producing utilities (I probably do too, and I’m not judging anyone for that) but not having a price on carbon gives companies no incentives to reduce their carbon footprint or invest in cleaner energy. Also we will be paying billions to the effects of climate change in the future so if our current energy sources are causing the problem does it not make sense to start paying for it now instead of passing all the economic problems that will stem from this down to newer generations? Also I’m not tryna start an argument I see people angry in these comments lol if you can convince me otherwise I’m open to it but from what I’ve read I support trying a carbon tax
