I visited Kingston penitentiary in the year early 2000 went to visit an inmate there. Actually, I knew quite a few maybe seven that was serving time their who I was visiting was this guy friend, for murder and guns no names other than the one I visited at the mention his name was Steve. wow is this ever a huge super huge place! chain gang You have to be special to become one of them was a horrible place it closed in 2013 today is more of a tourist attraction and a place that was left with ghosts. They all got moved out of their and brought them all to Millhaven That must’ve been quite the ride , that was my last prison visit for anyone along with my relative that was his last visit from me also .

Visiting Kingston Penitentiary in the early 2000s was certainly an experience. It's fascinating that you knew seven inmates there, and I can only imagine the mix of emotions that must have come with each visit. Steve, the friend you visited, certainly left an impression. You're right; Kingston Penitentiary was massive and had a notorious reputation. It's intriguing how it transitioned from a place of confinement to a tourist attraction after closing in 2013. The transformation must have been quite surreal, with echoes of its past still lingering as ghosts. The journey to Millhaven must have been an eventful one, marking the end of your prison visits. It sounds like both you and your relative found closure during that last visit. Thank you for sharing this unique glimpse into your experiences at Kingston Penitentiary.

@thephilcanvlog 🙂 hey thanks you’re quite welcome in your reply,,, yes, I have to admit I do and did know quite a few guys that were in their, none of them had tried to escape,, I think only one of the guys had passed 0:25 away in their … there is quite a few stories about that place king pen, even books on some of them. Well I guess that’s just about all I’m gonna say for now, but it was really nice chatting with you we can relate which is kind of cool. Hope you have a great evening, afternoon or morning stay healthy🙂✌🏼 p.s. Thanks for the heart.❤ and here’s one for you.

Isn’t that where Roger Caron spent time when he was just a 16 year-old boy? As mentioned in his book Go Boy!

Yes indeed.

@@thephilcanvlog I read in Go Boy that as a young 16 year-old boy in Kingston, he had to deal with a lot of bullying because of his small size. In one chapter, he talks about one situation where a man in his 30s tried to steal his boots. The man approached Roger and was about to grab the boy, but Roger kicked the man, according to Roger, “in the balls”. I found that very eye-opening.

Interesting. I found it very strange that in Milhaven reception in the early 90's the guards would show anal porn nightly in all the cell TV's . Plus have condoms

Looks quite a bit like stony mountain
@gordonfiddler5802 Жыл бұрын
Unlike Stony which is now considered the oldest next to PA Penitentiary. Stony has a new Maximum security building by the laundry. The Dome in Stony has a upper and lower Domes. KP has a huge circle with ranges of A to H. Stony Mountain has A, M and B ranges along with Unit 5 that has C,D,E and F ranges. I was there in 97 - 99 before going to Toronto on Stat release. I always love to hear from guys who did time in these places and have survived and now are doing well on the street. From the old PSB, New Remand, Headingley, Brandon, Stony, The old Don, East Det. Toronto, KP, Joyceville, PA, RPC Saskatoon and Pe Sakastew in Hobbema to getting the Sec 84 parole to Edmonton Stan Daniel's Healing Centre, I have stayed out and am now over 13 years past my warrant. Stay good folks. I met with awesome dudes in Stony including Lucky, Pee wee etc. Lots of laughs too. An old timer I knew in PA Penitentiary passed away. When I met him, he had spent 34 years inside. Freddy Laprett. He had been all over, Edmonton Max etc. I met him in 2000 at the AA meetings in PA.

Yes ...for sure. When Kingston Pen closed he was moved to the high-security prison in Port-Cartier, Que., home to some of Canada's most notorious criminals, including B.C. serial killer Robert William Pickton.

@The PHILCAN Vlog I explore and photograph abandoned places throughout Ontario / Canada and have been inside the abandoned Woman's prison in Kingston where Karla Homolka stayed, which is in very close proximity to the old Kingston Pen for male prisoners. ♡ Great video! :)

I think Chain Gangs should be brought back into use. I'm pretty sure it would reduce prison violence as they would be too god damn tired to fight. I also think it would reduce prison costs as the prison would make money off it from jobs that nobody else wants to do like digging, sweeping the streets, cleaning ditches ect. it would be good for them to earn their keep instead of taxpayers paying for them. They shouldn't have time to plot and plan when worked hard.
