I got mine yesterday and i was shocked how MUTE it is. yes Mute! no notifications, no music, no calls, not even a bling. it vibrates only. when i play music the sound comes out of the phone. very few features. on the positive side, it looks good and can reply messeges. 7/ 10

Yes this new watch works with other android apps. and the app to use the watch is call Gear Manager not the gear app. making it a little easier to locate, and unnecessary to download all the other apps to make the watch usable. I am a Gear s and S2 user

Is there a setting to enable it to be worn on your right wrist? EG, swap the bands around and then the buttons will then be on the left? Lefties aren't well served in the smart watch space yet.

I was just given the watch and I never got any of the app reminders you show. I DO have a Samsung watch so there are the odd apps on their phones. I deleted many of their apps and was never asked to reload them. I wonder if some of the features are already a part of the Samsung devices.

All of you people asking "Will it work with ____" he already said you need to have 4.4 or higher and at least 1.5gb of ram on the device you are connecting it to. You just need to look at the specifications of the device you have or are asking about to see if it's compatible. It's not hard.

I just got a Black Samsung gear s2 today, I tried downloading every app that I needed for this watch. I made my andrioid phone have bluetooth on and connected it to my gear s2, I clicked "Connect to Gear." I had my phone right next to my watch, and my phone said Gear not found. Turn your Gear on and try again." I tried this about 16 times and nothing happend, please help.

I just got the watch and it's really nice I recommend getting it if you want a smartwatch. Also it has about two or three days of battery life before needed recharged depending on use.

just be lucky they let other phones connect to these watches, the Samsung phones don't need these extra apps. but other phones will need some of those apps to make it function the same as if it was on a galaxy phone.
