Andria I have done exactly what you have said and effectively created a new tcp/ip port using the ip address of my printer. However, when a printing job is ordered the port goes back to WSD port resulting in printing blank sheets. Why the port revert back to WSD port?

Having issues with ink smearing when printing

I have been trying to install this stupid HP DeskJet 3700 series for more than half a day now. I am very dissatisfied with the App HP Smart which reuquires to have access to ALLLLLLLLLLL your files otherwise it won't help you... This is piracy and breach of privacy. In addition, when I turn the WiFi direct, the wifi has to be disconnected and you lose track of your work... I regret having bought it. Not to mention the IP address which is very hard to find.... I want to go back to a regular printer that plugs directly to my laptop. No need for all these useless and complicated innovations. All I need is a pair of legs to reach my printer. No need for it to print for me when I away from it. After all, we both live under the same roof for God's sake!
