I’ve been doing this all day and other things. I sent ONE email to my doctor and the thing went kaput! Out for 12 hours. Battery was fully charged, now 7%. Good grief! Hooked it up to the portable charger and it was charging… still at 100. Tried the 3 Finger Tap, no work. Then tried the 3 Button push again for the millionth time. That worked finally. Thank you! Now I can sleep. Still going to get it checked tomorrow. I live in the desert and it gets hot here. It needs to be ok.

Another FIX. If you can get it on and see the screen. Go to your settings and display options and change the auto sleep lock to NEVER! Ours came on with a couple of the forced restarts, but it would go right back to black screen as soon as it turned off. I bought new ipad, and got the old one to turn on with all the tapping and forced restart tricks, and oncei got it on i didnt want to turn off the screen while i transferred. Well because of that it turns on when i touch it or push the button, it stopped the black screen.

I used the app apple configurator to reset, and the method revive etc etc, and all methods failed. Maybe I have to wait for the battery to drain completely, then charge a full day. If that doesn't work, to the trash.

I have the same thing … faint light on whole screen after touching and I can hear passcode buttons. I dropped it and the whole iPad had a slight bend. Were you able to resolve your problem ?

@@Ammzie mine has started working again … but it went back to black for a day and then back to working again … I feel like it’s almost not a physical problem , but a recognition of some sorts because it’s either all the way working or not…. It’s not like part of the screen works and part doesn’t … anyways .. I just kept clicking the power button on and off and it started working a little …then I left it alone for a while and it just started working by itself. I also feel like keeping it in a cool , non humid environment might help.

Hope this gets through: My IPAD 2021 11 inch pro has had a screen issue. There is no physical damage. At first the screen would turn black while I was using it. It was still on. And then after a few flicks of the screen, the screen would light up again. This got worse as I used it more until after 6 months, it became permanent. It got worse and worse as the months went by. What could be the issue? I just had it looked at by a genius bar and they said it would cost $650 to replace and by that point, I might as well just buy a new IPAD. Is there something I can do with this??
