I listed this down as a checklist when buying my 2nd hand iphone, I suggest maybe organizing it so that it can become more systematic (i.e. if possible leave the resetting of everything towards the very end; when testing out other sim cards also check out the sim tray for water damage marks, etc) I also just wanted to add some additional tips: - Check the flashlight if it works - Check the compass if the internal gyroscope works - Check the bluetooth by connecting to a wireless speaker/headphones and testing it out :)

EXTRA TIP! When checking the camera, try the normal video mode at 60fps, time-lapse, and panorama modes. This is to check if the OIS is still working well and not problematic. You refer to OEM batteries as if they were made by a third-party. My understanding of OEM is that it is the same equipment used by the manufacturer of the product, in this case Apple. So, an OEM battery for an iPhone would be the exact same thing as the battery that Apple uses: no difference whatsoever.

I've bought a used Xs Max last week with the battery maximum capacity of 100% on ios 14.8 but after upgrading ios 14.8 to 15.1 the battery maximum not showing. I've already done Erase all content and settings and Reset All setting but the battery capacity still not showing. When I connect with PC the Battery Life is showing 100% in 3uTools software. Could be true, but this was after the update. What you should do is calculate how many battery cycles used then see what the true % capacity is because 100% is only an estimate and not actual percentage.

Yes you can check for true tone in Display setting for iPhone 8 and newer as a way to check if screen is genuine but they can reprogram replaced screen to have true tone nowadays so it doesn't really tell you if it's the original screen or not with this method.

When you are talking with someone and it’s close to your ears, the iPhone automatically locks. If you are looking to lock it while on the call, just put the speaker on and lower the volume so it sounds regular and now if you lock it with the lock button it won’t hang up
