Can you tell me where can I buy "AC Box" that you mentioned in the video ? I have some old Android unit in my 2006. Accord TypeS (CL9), but don't have this "AC Overlay" when I press some button for AC (everything is working but just don't have this overlay on the screen) ?

Hey, I just installed the same exact unit in my 07 accord. Problem with mine is when I touch either button for front defrost, it will go into front defrost BUT not come out of front defrost mode. The mode buttons will change the display but the air stays blowing on the windshield. I have to hook up my old ac control systems to get it to blow from the other vents. Has anyone else seen this problem.

Hi, I have a few questions about this head unit. When you turn on the rear window defroster, do you hear the relay under the hood click? How does the A/C compressor control work? Do you have any problems with the A/C freezing up?

I have the PEP12ACH, it is the model roughly for roughly 300. I would recommend this one as so far it has worked well so far. Question does anyone know how to change toe UI to the other theme? I was able to do it once but no luck finding the menu option again. As mentioned below mine only has 4 boot logos but it boots so fast it is not an issue.

Nope, the base UI can be changed, after reading Manuel you have to push the “topic change” tee shirt logo. That’s how it is done

Yes I can help you do it when you get the unit I have all cars logo saved and you just need to load it on thumb dr8ve plug into USB and g9 to boot logo pull up your logo and save reboot and bam done

I got this radio a month ago and think it’s great for the buck. No complaint. I do need help with getting my external amps to get sound. All is checked and hooked correctly. Ext amp is on in sound check. Can’t get any sound. Any help would be greatly appreciated

If you have an external amp with rca inputs plugged in and power and ground all you need is the 12v blue remote wire ran to the amp from the head unit.

Actually the terminal you disconnect does matter, you always disconnect the positive or red, if you disconnect the black and it touches the car it will ground and short

Also on most of the newer xtrons their is not all the cars on boot log9bwcreen anymore thats via xtrons bit a computer and a usb thumb drive make surebformat FAT32. If you need any car logo boot i can give you it.

Dont use a drill unless you are good with it not even worth it you going to strip the screw. Or snap it , use the torx screw driver dont use a drill like he said you gonna mess somthing up also that drill not going to fit in most spots on audio install. Also maybe thay H9nda is easy install love to see you do install on mercedes lmao 🤣 😆 good job for the most part and thank you.

I've installed multiple different stereos in my 7th gen accord, and they all sound like garbage despite how nice they look. The oem unit just has a crisp, loudness with plenty of treble and bass without turning the volume all the way up. I've been looking to install an aux adapter thing but I figure it will be similar situation.

@@TechReviewsTV everything is well placed, this is my third android radio that was installed in my honda, it is the same as your case, I wanted to have the best radio and it worked well this morning until it started saying that the battery was draining, I already deflated it but I think The battery fuse broke.

Bro, the sound on these head units is terrible compared to the oem head unit. I'm an audiophile, and one thing I can say is I'm not sure why no head unit sounds nearly as good as the oem. I just kept the oem stereo, the CD player sounds 10x better than this xtrons unit. For $400 it just doesn't make sense.

That’s strange for me it made it far better I’ve had the OEM and heard it I’ve tried a separate Bluetooth dongle and those sound more flat compared to this. And I have OEM speakers. It’s weird how some other people have different sounds depending on different units. If you have had xtrons specifically I’ve never had issues with theirs. I’ve only tried one other brand besides xtrons and it’s about the same quality. Either you got unlucky with your unit(s) or I’m just unsure.

@@TechReviewsTV I'm really not sure, it is confusing because in the 7th gen accord 2003-2007, there's like 4 different configurations. The top being the navigation with premium sound system and 6 CD changer. Mine is the one below this, I have a 2006 Ex-L 4 cylinder, which came with the premium pioneer speaker system, the 2 cheaper configurations came with Panasonic speakers.

@@TechReviewsTV I also noticed it sends full range signal to the door speakers which are mid woofers and shouldn't be playing full range. Only the 6x9's in the back. Even if I set the HI pass filters on the front over 50Hz all the bass disappears even from the rear. I've heard many people say the same thing. They phrase it as "sounding tiny" compared to oem.

The less ram it has, the less 'processing power' for on device app and interface. Lower ram can result in a lot more lagginess. Most recommend getting at least 4gb of ram for an android head unit of this sort

I have one of these, I got a 2gb one. The practical difference is how many apps you can hold or run at the same time. You do need at least 2gb RAM imo, but 4 is excessive. Unless you actually want to play games or download movies onto your head unit, you're never going to get close to maxing out on the smaller one. So don't waste your money on getting more space, especially if your only goal is to use Bluetooth/Carplay/AA to run maps and music.
