You show Note 14 4G, but mix Note 14 5G and 4G spec. No HDR support in Xiaomi spec list. 7025, 45W, and 2100 peak are 5G model. 4G is G99, 33W, and 1800 peak.

I have the Redmi Note 13 global version which is the previous model and I honestly do not like some of the decisions Xiaomi made with the new phone. For starters, the screen on this new phone is such a huge downgrade. I don't understand why Xiaomi took a step backwards by making the bezels and chin larger. Seriously, do a side-by-side of those two phones and you'll think the Note 13 is the latest model. 2nd thing, I don't understand why they replaced the 8MP telephoto camera with a useless 2MP depth sensor. I was hoping that they would at least bump up the telephoto lens by a few more megapixels. A few things I like though are the new chip, improved selfie camera and the bigger battery. Overall, this year's model is a major letdown for me.

The entire 14 Series is barely even an upgrade tbh, I was originally going to get the Note 14 Pro+ 5G but I will just save for the Mi 14T Pro I think

@LoganT547 There has not really been any upgrade since the redmi note 10 pro. I got the Honor 200 for £299, which is really good. Much better than the redmi and takes better pictures than my A55.

An IR blaster hasn't been seen in any phone since the Samsung S4 so a nice addition. An audio jack is a win as they're almost non-existent.

IR Blaster was one of Xiaomi's signature feature. Like its been there since the beginning.

Assuming that you are American (I don't know if this is true), how is the band support for your carrier? Do you have 5G support, or is it only 4g? Do you suffer from weak connection issues or areas where you lose connectivity all together?

the phone that he's reviewing is Redmi Note 14 (4G) it has helio g99 chip which a 4G only capable. The Redmi Note 14 5G has dimensity chip which a 5G capable chip. which is more expensive than this one.

Hmm so is AI built into the Camera sensor? Or is it Redmi Click Bait and they are referring to AI software?
@lfox0216 күн бұрын
You can look up "Xiaomi Imaging Engine", but they usually mean something along the lines of automatic scene mode selection and improved image processing. I'm not sure it makes a ton of difference, a phone with a bigger sensor will usually take great pictures anyway.
@Technocrat.16 күн бұрын
@lfox02 Does this phone work in North America? For Networks.
@jonfreeman968215 күн бұрын
All phones have AI now but premium phones have more sophisticated AI. Basically it's a fancy way of saying there's automatic image enhancement like noise reduction, dynamic range stacking, color boost, night mode etc.

I've had good and bad experiences with Xiaomi, well the Poco ones anyway. All my Xiaomi and Redmi phones still work. All my bad experiences have been with India variants. I'd probably stick with Amazon or Giztop. Giztop only sells China variants though. My favorite US seller doesn't have the Note 14 though apparently.
