Thank you for creating such an outstanding video! I truly appreciate the effort you put into the content. As I have recently upgraded from an older version of Camtasia to version 24, I would be thrilled to see a tutorial that specifically covers the new features and functionalities of this version. I believe that many viewers, especially those transitioning like myself, would find it incredibly helpful and valuable to navigate the updates effectively.

About timing of the grouped assets, if you want to give it more or less time, you can always adjust the speed of that clip.

Is there any way to create a shape/caption with perfect corners? The default, with borders = 0, appears to be a slightly rounded corner bevel. The only help I can find on corners tells how to increase the rounding with effects.

If I recorded myself and the screen, how can I just show myself? I know how to remove myself from the screen, but can I remove the screen and see the camera recording in full screen?

Im working on a Mac with the free trial version of Camtasia rev. I noticed in your video that your PIP of your face is quite small. I want to know how to do that. The default big circle you get takes up too much real-estate on the screen and covers up too much of what I want to show on my screen recording.

Once you choose a layout in Rev, you can Edit in Camtasia and that will open up the full editor. There you can resize the PIP to be smaller (and many more cool things).

I use Movavi Academic at present and I'm thinking about changing to Camtasia for my Power Point presentation videos. When I have my image on screen bottom right and I look at the screen to talk about a point, I'm looking out of the screen rather than into it. Can this be adjusted in Camtasia?
@techsmith11 ай бұрын
You can move your camera image anywhere on screen you like! If you want to animate to to move from position A to position B you'd add an animation. Or if you just want it to stay in one spot you can do that too!

Thanks, but that's not quite what I meant . I think it's a question of flipping images rather than moving the whole image left or right as this won't change where I'm looking. Imagine my talking head bottom right looking at the Powerpoint screen to my right - I seem to be looking the wrong way. Video link kzbin.info/www/bejne/aoGrkHqFma6kj6c this link will show you what I mean.@@techsmith

@@splendidenglishgrammar Ahh, if you're looking to flip the video, that's a simple Y-axis rotation in the Properties panel. You can animate it to flip by starting at 0° and ending at 180° or you can just start where you want it. No effects needed, just select the clip and change it in the Properties panel.

Could you start from the standpoint of someone with any material, please!

There's NO "Import Media" button found upon selecting Media tab.
@techsmith4 ай бұрын
The Import Media button is there until you have imported your first clip. After that you can use the plus button on the bottom of the bin, go to File -> Import, or you can just hit "CMD/CTRL + i" to import a file.

Are you asking how to see the Export button because Jason's video is covering it? If you've got Camtasia open you'll see the big green button there.

This video could be enhanced by adding captions for the keyboard shortcuts of everything done using mouse. Encourage viewers to use keyboard shortcuts.

These webinars are repurposed from live events, otherwise, yes, we absolutely would normally include those. Thanks for this feedback!

I have just realised that you are demonstrating 2023 version and I am on the 2024 version. So, your clip is now outdated unless people are using 2023 of course.

Well, yeah, this video IS from over a year ago. Which part in particular is no longer true between the versions? We offer these webinars monthly, so you're welcome to join one live. techsmith.com/webinars
