Thanks for the great review. I'm loving this phone. I recently lost my Moto G 5G Plus, and first tried the Xperia 10 IV... but the phone was too slim for my large hands, the camera was below average despite having telephoto and the OLED screen was too dark in sunlight. I then tried the S20 FE 5G but was not a fan of the bloatware and struggled to get anything more than a days battery life. This Moto G82 has hit the spot for me. Fantastic screen, great Moto OS / gestures, brilliant battery life and a fairly decent camera. I do find the haptic feedback on the keyboard to be a little sluggish and I wish it had the same Battery Care features that Samsung, Asus and Sony have. But overall a brilliant little handset for £280, highly recommended!

people talk about camera quality as if anyone gives a shit about the quality of the pictures they take for instagram or twitter which everyone looks at in a small phone screen anyway and will never enlarge. If you are a professional photographer you shouldn't use a phone in the first place, this obsession with camera quality is just pointless consumerism for people that feel better having bought a better product

This is currently the top pick for my next phone (after Redmi Note 7). Nice screen, stock Android, good battery, solid chipset, MicroSD and 3.5mm jack, solid price...it ticks the boxes for me. Samsung is expensive here, they started removing the 3.5mm jack from midrangers (A53) and they lock down their OS heavily making it difficult to root or install a custom OS. I won't be getting another Xiaomi, hardware is great for the price but I don't like MIUI. Huawei/Honor makes good phones and I don't mind the lack of Google (even better!) but they ditched the MicroSD and audio jack long ago. Oppo with their Realme and OnePlus has decent hardware and prices but I don't like ColorOS. Apple? Fuck Apple. So, that leaves me the Motorola... As for the Android updates, many phones out there didn't even get Android 12 yet and many won't. Having the 12 already, with guaranteed 13 and possible 14 is ok. You can call it average in terms of support. It's not Samsung or Apple level of support but it's up there with a bunch of them and there are worse ones. The stock Android means it won't be as bogged down as time passes, like many of them do (especially ones with heavy OS skins). 3 years of security updates is not groundbreaking but ok still, vast majority of people will replace the phone in 3 years anyway.

Great video! I won’t be getting this phone because I got new phone yesterday. But this video helps me anyways since my new phone is a Motorola. My first Motorola ever. And it’s partly thank’s to you. Your channel has changed my view of Motorola to much more positive direction. My new phone is Motorola Moto G200 5G. One big reason to get it was big screen. Although 6,8” isn’t big enough since I can’t wait the time when smartphone screens will be 8” big. And another important thing is 108 Mpix camera that G200 has. I really wanted 108 Mpix. Third thing is the prise: it was now only 299€ here in Finland! Originally 499€.

Yeah that is poor. From the same price (maybe cheaper idk???) you can get the A53 5G which has flaws, but it does have 3 and 4 years of OS and Security updates respectively!

Loud speakers(at 100 percent volume the backside vibrates so keep it at 80 that's loud enough ) , decent camera ( no 4k recording but 1080p with 60fps for main cam is enough for me ) . Netflix and KZbin looks great on the amoled display even without HDR .( 6gb was enough for my daily use) Who is it for : those who need a daily driver to consume a lot of multimedia on their phone and those who need to watch colour accurate work ( thanks to 10 bit display . Useful for designers , content creators etc ) Who is it not for : Pro gamers ( sd695 is alright as long as you are just a casual gamer) and Pro photographers ( phones having better camera setups are available but with some other compromises)

People out here complaining about not enough OS update support on Motorola phones. Let me tell you my experience. I wanted the same exact support for security patches and OS upgrades in a phone like you did so I bought a Nokia 5.3 in 2020 because it guaranteed support till android 12. But two and a half years later when they finally rolled out android 12 for the 2020 smartphones (wayy later than what they promised) I updated to android 12 and the phone was performing in the shittiest way possible. Screen was frozen, ghost touches every few seconds, can't answer calls, won't here the person on the other end are just a few issues I had. So bottom line is those other phones with stock android that do promise you at least 2 or 3 android upgrades will not roll those updates out as they promise and when they finally do there's a high chance your phone will get bricked because your phone from 2 or 3 years ago was not built for a future version of Android to work smoothly in it. So use the software that comes with the phone, you have a good chance of using the phone for longer without any issues that way.

Hello, in your opinion, is it worth paying 70 euros more for the Motorola g82 5g (now on sale at 249 euros) than for the Motorola g71 5g (on sale at 179 euros)? If I'm not mistaken they have the same processor, ram, internal memory, and even the same camera. The most substantial differences I've seen are the g82's 120 refresh rate along with optical stabilization, micro sd slot and android 12 versus 11 (so I guess you're guaranteed one more OS upgrade with the g82 ). I understand that, except for the stabilizer, the photos/videos of both will be similar... So, having said that, do you think it's worth paying 70 euros more for the g82? I just got the white Lilly one. I've had my Nokia x20 for over two years it was time to upgrade. I got this Motorola to fill in the gap while I wait for the Nokia xr20 to go on sale. ATM $879 aud is too expensive for that phone. The moto g82 does the job. I like the Motorola gestures. I still have my x20 incase if I need it as a spare. I've noticed with the g82 when watching the video the phone tends to vibrate which can be annoying. Trying to figure out how to stop that

G62 is 64 for the memory, G82 is 128 . you could always get the g62 with 128 memory (for me at least that's important) but the price starts getting too close to that of the 82 to justify not simply benefiting from all the other features the 82 has to offer.

Hi mate, I have 2 questions to ask which confuse me alot. I think you are the expert to answer it. I have been using the Oppo reno z since 2019 until it starts running laggy and lack of storage recently . So I bought motorola G82 a week ago , Everything runs good except the screen really hurts my eyes. I feel so tired and even pain while using the phone. Then I wanted to search why, just found out they are Amoled screen as well. But what makes them so different? To be honest, I plan to sell it and buy Oppo angain. Does the included case protect the screen when dropped or do we still need a separate screen protector? Asking as some cases protrude out slightly longer than the screen depth wise which means when the phone falls face down, the screen never touches the ground.
