Original Moto G was one of my fave phones, it was a real game changer. I came to it from an iPhone 3gs and it was so far superior, yet so much cheaper. I have been android ever since.

i have a moto G3 as well (As my primary phone that too!) . when i went to college until last year (offline) i dropped it nearly every day. the screen finally cracked this january. the speaker doesn't work and it lags quite a bit, but when it first came out it was a great phone and honestly it has aged pretty well. the moto phones these days have quite crappy specs for the price. i really loved the motorola series. damn you lenovo! Chris, I'm glad you're doing so many motorola reviews. do send a g5/g5s/s plus my way if you plan on doing a giveaway ;)

No no no. Is it that India vs China border dispute again? Why not get over it? I have Motorola Moto G8 Power and it did already upgrade to Android 11. It's absolutely brilliant with stereo speakers, main + tele lens, ultrawide lens, macro lens, Full HD+ screen, big battery. And check Motorola Moto G100 just wow it's even much better.

LOL!! I knew my phone was old but not that old. Embarrassing enough, I'm still using the original Moto G. I can't decide on my long-overdue choice of replacement as here in Canada it seems Apple & Samsung are rammed down our throats, with the odd Moto avail (in which IMHO have gone downhill big time). LG is now finished. All the decent Pixels are gone. So unless Moto severely pulls their socks up (on their phones that is, not the ones they gave you to wear), I may have to hold out & get a mortgage for the Pixel 6 Pro ?? - that phone is going to be Frickin expensive$$$. As always, you are an absolute riot to watch !!!! (even though we don't get most of the phones that you review here). Many Cheers to you & your Fam !!

I've had several Moto g phones, starting with the 3 which I loved because of the mostly stock Android experience, only once going to a Nexus 6p, before settling for my current blower - a g7 plus, which is still a fantastic phone and not to be replaced any time soon, even though I'm on a 5G network that I can't make use of with it. I still have them all, but then I have all my phones going back to a Motorola microTAC in '94!

As a consumer who prefers smaller form factors I am interested to know the best 2021 phone under 5.6" display. There are consumers out there that only look for calling, texting, emailing and basic web browsing. The Samsung Flip Z3 is probably the closest too that form factor but pricewise, is still way outside most people's normal means. The Asus ZenFone is close at 5.9" but again at nearly £600 only comfortable available on contract terms. My last 4 phones have all been Motorola G series. They have all incrementally increased in forms factor to the point that my Christmas present, the G10 Play, I ended up giving to my daughter as she plays games on her phone. Do you have any recommendations?

I've only ever had 2 phones. The Moto G and the Moto G6 Plus, both of which offered incremental changes in connectivity (3G to 4G), processing power (400 series to 630), and camera tech that is good for the price you get these phones for. Also, the fact that the latest Android 11 Motorola phones ship with 720p displays and only slightly better Snapdragon 662 and 480 processors, is a testament to how far ahead of their time the Moto G and Moto G6 Plus were.

We've got a G2 still serving duties as a ring chime. I had an Iphone 5 at the time we purchased the G2 for my mum. That 5.0" screen was amazing in comparison, and it was only $250!

My first phone was a Motorola T2288, My First Android was a Motorola Defy, I bought the OG Moto G. Then upgraded to G3 Turbo, then had G4 Plus. Then I begrudgingly switched to Nokia 6.1 Plus (because finding a Moto in the Philippines was hard). Then now I have the Moto G 5G Plus. Oh I also used to have the Moto ROKR E1 and the V551.

The 1st Moto G was my intro into the smartphone game. Prior to this I had a Virgin Mobile phone with an antenna back in 2003,a small prepaid TracFone in 2006,a Sprint Flip Phone that same year,kept that until I could no longer and got a slide phone around 2009 maybe and then got a Blackberry styled phone called A Brio. It would not be until the later half of 2014 that I got my very first smartphone:Moto G.

I had the G4 play after a hurricane because the carrier was giving out free data. I liked the phone so much that I got a the regular G4. The last Moto g I have is the G7 power. I accidentally have two of them. One is on tracphone . The other is the unlocked retail version I keep as a backup. I use to get them on clearance at work. Now the company will not lower prices for them.
