The price for the Pro device in Europe is simply too expensive. Oppo was absent from the market in some countries for a while due to legal decisions. With such a high price, they won’t attract many new customers, just a small number of us "nerds." But it’s the broad consumer base that generates profits. Such a pity. I expected more.

Here in New Zealand the x8 pro going for $2300 nzd is crazy, that's only $50 nzd less than the 16 pro max although it's 16gb ram and 512 rom vs Apple's 256gb. But the same spec in China sells for $1400 nzd a $900 mark up is simply unreasonable. The x8 series is getting clowned on in Chinese forums for downgrading the camera components and absence of ultrasonic fingerprint reader. Was keen to trade in my s23 ultra as I do like Oppo (yes I'm Chinese) but yea nah I'm good 😂

I've had my ' normal ' X5 for a couple years now and it's been amazing, still 80 watt charging which you can't even find on the s24 ultra. I still get compliments on how good my photos look, dropped it so many times and only one slight crack through the centre. Only issue is when it gets warm, it's very very laggy and if I'm using the phone on gaming or camera, it will heavily drain the battery

Mine arrived today early, was meant to be Monday! It took me a while to set it up as I had changed some passwords and promptly forgot them, duh, it's a great phone really good features lighter than the 9 Pro XL better in hand, I've sent for the fast charger now, not had a chance to try the camera yet as been piddling down torrentially and gales all day here in Devon, may get a selfie later as it's our 22nd wedding anniversary today. Pleased so far! 😊

well i've had the find x2 pro, the find x5 pro, i think its about right to move on up to the find x8 pro really. and i'll make my find x5 my bike phone to record all my rides. i never go for the next model up straight away so 3 years per phone i think is pretty reasonable, i'm just waiting for vodafone to get it back on their options.

An underrated "con" is that despite being a flagship this uses Gorilla Glass 7i (designed for entry to mid range phones) instead of Victus 2 which is seen in most flagships, might be an issue for people who tend to drop their phones while they're at their desks.....

Oppo is faster, better screen, speakers, gaming and IP rating. Google pixel has more useful AI tools. Normal usage, go for the pixel. Gaming a lot? Oppo it is.

Whilst I could purchase the One Plus in Canada, I couldn't purchase the Oppo. When in Europe and my phone died I grabbed the first Oppo find X3 I could. With the case and the screen protector it looks just as good as new out of the box and performance is undiminished. Upon my return home I discovered although it was unlocked it didn't update until I used VPN to the country of purchase. I would purchase another newer Oppo in a heartbeat over other brands. The only things stopping me are the "If it isn't broke don't fix!" rule (it's expensive with exchange) and where to find a seller to ship. It was Techspurt reviews that put me onto my first and together with the reviewed Niagara Launcher he reviewed I'd have no hesitation doing the same thing over!.

Magic 7 pro. It seems that it doesn't darken the dark parts of the pictures as X8 pro does, while looking natural with a well judge sense of joy in the colors. X200 pro use more sharpening and push the colors too much. Magic 6 pro is curved and 180mp telephoto may work less well than the 200mp of the 7. X100 pro isn't often available, even if it sharpens less than X200 pro.

Sorry I absolutely beg to disagree on that front ... typing on my Find X5 Pro which is an outstanding handset the Find X8 Pro builds on the Find X5 Pro and updates it completely especially ☝️on the camera front now using Sony sensors big thumbs 👍...and IP69 rating which is could be very useful. Also the dedicated camera button something that I used to love with my previous Xperia devices another thumbs 👍 for me ...their WiFi 7 surport so future proofing...theirs also the 5G Standalone compatibility so that great as I'm with "EE One" service now and have full access to the 5G spectrum not reliant on the 4G service "not" all handsets offer this ...theirs hasselblad enhanced software which is very unique indeed and the dedicated Chipset behind that theirs ...5 years of full software updates for majority of people that's more than enough as most folks upgrade between 3-5 years anyway so not having 7 meh not and issue..their more I believe so that's hardy in my view "a side step" perhaps for your own usage and needs but for me and what Oppo are offering in return it's a killer step forwards looking at the entire picture.🤓👌
