I remember the Knockers question! One of the more genuinely funny questions in the UK game.
@ebEliminator8 жыл бұрын
I know the question wanted the person in the joke who said "knock knock", but it never explicitly stated this, so technically 1 did get the question right as the host did say "knock knock."

This is a great mashup multiplayer sequel to a great mashup single player! I also love the thing on top during the intro, where it's explained screws are given and taken randomly, and the responsible people have been screwed and sent to the bottom, it's just a little touch that I just love! And something else I love about this is while the first one had two of each one in a row in an organized way to celebrate nearly 20 years of YDKJ, this one changes every question to a random game from the vast pool of games, and it's nice that there has truly been time and effort put into this that makes it (besides the screws, which, as I said, is explained beautifully) look and seem like a perfect mashup...And just a question, I mentioned in a comment on your 1P mashup that there should be a game like these mashups, I won't be able to make an actual game on it, but wouldn't that be a cool idea? Also, congratulations to the winner, as well as the editor, and this is just a beautiful piece of art...however, if I were to say one thing that could be changed, I could say the Jack Attack could be different, maybe something more like "Stop It With All The Meowing" from the IOS game (although since it IS a 1P game, it makes sense), maybe the BC YDKJ from the ride or, I remember there was a Technical Difficulties floor in The Ride, maybe that would be a funnier one, not that there's anything wrong with the Jack Attack, I just found it funny when the ending of the 1P mashup was probably the funniest Jack Attack, most people should know which, but I'm not gonna spoil it for those who don't, but you see where I'm coming from, right? I mean I'm not being negative or saying you had a bad choice, it was probably just the Jack Attack that you were able to get to in the marathon for this mashup, which I can understand/respect. In short, this is a beautiful sequel to an already beautiful video, and I have nothing against it...BTW, be careful, this is a LONG comment XD

Wow, thank you for your wonderful comments! :D [Just a warning, another very long comment ahead...] I'm so glad you spotted the bit in the intro about the random screws, it was the only way to keep the gameplay genuine and it was a nice nod to The Ride (even though I haven't actually reached The Bottom yet myself, but I think I'm only a couple of floors away!). We spent about 5 hours nearly non-stop playing all the games (I even made custom buzzers so we didn't have to fight for personal space over my keyboard) and I kept note of questions that were particularly good or ones with good screws or special questions that I hadn't featured in the 1P mashup like Bug Out and the Three Way to name just two. I then took a long break to focus on my final exams before celebrating by selecting the questions one by one and editing this all together. I agree with you about the Jack Attack, thank you for your honesty - I always planned to finish with YDKJ 2011 as it was easier to merge players 2 and 3 into one here rather than in a normal question (plus the music always sends chills down my spine no matter how many times I've endured the Attack!) but nothing has come close to the one I used in the 1P mashup that I can remember, it was (and still is!) a tough act to follow :P As a matter of fact, as I study Computer Science and a very small part of my course was "Games" (sadly not as exciting as it sounded to us) - I did learn enough to create my own and You Don't Know Jack was my second personal project. It itself is a mashup (sounds and music from most of the games, question intros modified from Offline, the 'look' similar to Volume 2/1 etc.) where I play host with my own set of questions. I'm also very cruel in the sense that if you don't answer, the host takes it as a wrong answer and deducts money - such fun the £10k Gibberish Questions! However it is only a 1 player game... Thank you once again for watching, so glad that you enjoyed it!

@@TrentonMatthews My guess: The German YDKJ 4 came out before US YDKJ Volume 6: The Lost Gold and US Vol. 6 even mentions Germanys 4th game in the intro sometimes. And what brings me to that thought is that the German game is basically like US Lost Gold, but without the pirate theme and including online play and most importantly elements from 5th dementia (including music like the Dis or Dat and Jack Attack themes). So maybe the developers forgot to delete this music when creating Lost Gold of Germanys 4th YDKJ.

@@CedrikLPle sadly, for the fans of fifth dementia, someone will indeed have to rip the music themselves. Jack box games does not plan to make said music available as a soundtrack. 😞 I got a response from them on Twitter last week about the subject.

@@TrentonMatthews For the German games it is even harder. YDKJ 3: Abwärts (German version of The Ride) has some interesting music that is not available online easily like Bingo remixes and some outro songs.

How do you manage those mashups?
@TechSteve219 жыл бұрын
MindstormXL Whilst I was playing through the games with friends, I was writing down what happened in every single question (cash value, question type, did anyone screw?, was it a very funny question? etc.). I then spent a fair while finding a combination of questions such that: every version of the game has 2 questions included (and they are not both just normal multiple choice questions if I can avoid it), the question numbers still go from 1 to 20 in order if they are shown in a segue/background and that a good amount of screwing is done for good measure. Next I cut down the recordings to those select questions, watched them in order to keep track of what the scores would be (thus also working out who is paired with who for the Jack Attack which is played at a later time) and edit it all together which takes almost as long as it took to play the games in the first place! But it was all worth it :D
@MindstormXL9 жыл бұрын
Ah fair enough, I love YDKJ and if that sort of mashup was actually possible without having to edit together everything and was possible for a live playsession I would have streamed it.
@TechSteve219 жыл бұрын
MindstormXL I've written and programmed my own version of YDKJ in the past, technically it would be possible to adapt it to that each question took on the various themes of all the games... but I wouldn't be able to add the original hosts in and it would involve knowing all the questions and answers in advance... Plus it would take an awfully long time to do... Maybe one day, who knows? ;) But thanks for watching in the meantime :)
