Thank you, glad you liked it :) I know it's been a fair while but I finally got some friends round for a YDKJ marathon and a 3-player edition is being mashed up as I speak! Should be up within the next few days.

Yeah the UK version is by far my favourite - I've been trying to get a game with a Pub Quiz question but in over 30 games I've never got one! I shall keep trying though :D

Pub Quiz questions are very rare, I remember two called "Leeds Me Not Into Temptation" and "Where the Wolves Roam Free" when I played YDKJ in the past.

I had a few minutes to spare today, thought I'd try my luck - and it paid off! Thanks to your great memory of the category names I kept an eye out for place names and "I feel like I've died & gone to Devon" came up. That very game is now uploading under the title "YDKJ UK - 21 Questions Solo #1" :)

It seems that there is no way so far to get the game to run in fullscreen mode without any taskbars from the host OS, or without the game not taking up the entire screen, with the exception of 2 vertical black bars in order to keep original aspect ratio. Another downer is that you can't change compatibility settings with shared folders, that is shared between host and guest. I used to be able to play this game because I had a PC that ran windows XP, but the motherboard on it died. I mean, how does a motherboard die on a 8 year old PC? I have a 15 year old PC whose motherboard is fine. Anyway, virtual machines are still far away from getting that original experience. Don't you agree? If only virtualbox had a scaled mode while fullscreen, if you know what I mean.

No problem. I just love the UK version of YDKJ and think it's the best version. It's just a shame that it's so hard to find online, nor is it available on Steam.

What OS are you using to play 5th dementia? Are you using AMD or Intel processor?

For 5th Dementia I use a VirtualBox running Windows XP and I have an Intel i5 processor :)

TechSteve21 So does 5th dementia run the way it should, without the game jumping ahead, or skipping? I am trying to narrow down the problems, and what I hear from you, it isn't really Intel vs AMD, it is more like XP vs Vista, 7, and 8. I tested it on 5 different computers, and so far, the AMD and XP combo for mine is the only computer that could run the game without problems. The ones that run Vista, 7, and 8 have the same skipping, or the game jumping ahead problem, as if the game was running too fast or something.

TechSteve21 Offline and Louder faster funnier does not work the way it should on that one PC that runs XP and uses an AMD processor, which is the only PC that I own that can run 5th dementia perfectly. It shows that it isn't XP's fault that there are graphical glitches, such as the text not showing up in those 2 games. It really means that I don't have to worry about having to force myself to buy AMD processors because the game works better. With what you said, it makes no difference if I buy an AMD or an Intel processor based computer. With XP support gone today, it is a sad day for me, because I don't have any newer computer that could run 5th dementia.

TechSteve21 I was testing this game on virtual box running windows XP, and the game runs too fast. What did you do to make the game run as smooth as it is? Have you tried running this on Windows Vista, 7 or 8?

signofzeta I've never used Windows Vista and on Windows 7 and 8 I cannot get the game to work as it pops up a message saying "Unable to use DirectShow" which after an eternity of searching I am no closer to finding a solution for so I just stick to XP for 5th Dementia, which is a shame seeing as the rest work fine on 7 and 8. As for the game running too fast, I had that problem too but I found the solution: In XP: Start > Control Panel > Sounds and Audio Devices > 'Audio' tab > Click 'Advanced' under "Sound Playback" > 'Performance' tab > Drag the "Hardware Acceleration" slider all the way to the left so it's set to "None". Hope this helps.
